Leo Valiquette liked an update for Richly Drawn

Hi everyone,

So I got an exciting update from Inkshares this weekend. “Richly Drawn” will be assigned an editor by May, and the editorial process will then begin.

As many of you already know, a professionally released book isn’t merely written by an author, but it is also goes through a long process of notes, changes, rewrites and polishes. At Inkshares and at other publishers, this process usually takes up to a year – so for those of you who pre-ordered the book (again, a thousand-times thank you!) I’m afraid you’ll have to wait quite some time still to get your copy of “Richly Drawn."

The editorial process helps a book reach its full potential, so it’s worth waiting for. I’m really excited to get started, and I’ll keep you posted as things moves along.

Thanks aplenty!

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Showtime
    Hey everyone!

Just wanted to send out a quick update to share that Showtime has been nominated for The Baltimore Sun’s “Best of 2019” in the “Book” category!

I’d appreciate you taking a look and voting for Showtime! Voting is simple and only takes about 30 seconds.

    1. Click this link: https://baltimoresun.secondstreetapp.com/Baltimore-Sun-Best/gallery?group=307653

    2. Click “Book” under the “People & Media section to the left

    3. Find Showtime

    4. Click the green “Vote” button!

Afterwards, it only asks you for your name, birthday, and zip code. It couldn’t be easier! Voting runs through March 15th at 5:00pm, so it’s a relatively short window. I’d also appreciate it if you’d share with family and friends to help keep Showtime on top!

    Thanks for your continued support!

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Mushroom and Anchovy
      Greetings, adventurers!

       Happy #MushAnch Monday!

February passed in a whirlwind of illness and extremely cold weather. I’m not sure about all of you, but I’m really craving spring. As the snow falls outside in a twisting flurry, accompanied by a winter storm warning, I can tell that it’s still a bit distant—but it will be here soon, and we’ll all wake up as the earth does.

At least, that’s the case over here in the frozen north!

I have no updates on the Mushroom and Anchovy front this month, folks, but a whole lot of fun stuff is happening in my creative life right now. As I’ve been mentioning, I have been livestreaming from my kitchen twice a week now, and we’ve managed to do some truly neat stuff during that time. Most recently, we did a cupcake drive and raised some money for the SPCA with the help of my husband (Frosting Overseer) and daughter (Chief Sprinkle Technician), as well as everyone who ordered cupcakes and people on stream who donated, too. I baked ten dozen, and the three of us decorated them for 8 hours on stream and ended up raising over $500. WHEW. What a day it was! For more fun like that, please do join me over on Twitch!

As always, I’m producing YouTube videos, recipes, and chipping away at various blog posts. I was really sick from mid-January until around the third week of February, so the bare minimum was about all I could produce, but I’m feeling much better now, and I’m hoping to tackle more projects. In fact, check out my March roundup for what I’ll be up to in the month to come!

Until April 1st, folks, may your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,

Leo Valiquette liked All That Glitters
Lots of good news ahead! In a few days I’ll be able to announce publicly a national award to one of my other books ... the groundswell of Medium readers for my essays is growing nicely ... and we’re just about at 10 percent of the pre-orders that Inkshares needs to publish this book. So I hope to have more to share on that, too, in the coming days. Meanwhile, today is a great day to share with someone that you’re already in line for the first edition of ALL THAT GLITTERS. Thanks, friends!

Leo Valiquette sent an update for Bane of All Things

Good morning, everyone. Just a quick heads up that only five days remain on the campaign for Bane of All Things. At present, we stand at 295 pre-orders.

As I said in my previous update, Inkshares decides which titles in funding to publish based on campaign metrics beyond just pre-orders. Will driving past 300 pre-orders in the time that remains land me a publishing deal? It just might.

So, if you have spoken with any friends or family who may have said "Yeah, I’ll check it out" but haven’t, now is the time to give them a sharp poke.

Also, many of you have followed Bane of All Things but have not pre-ordered. If you have any interest in doing so, now is the time.

It’s been quite a ride since October. Driving this campaign makes actually writing a book seem like a walk in the park. But one way or the other, the end is at hand. Thanks again for all your support and patience.

          Happy reading.

          Cheers

          Leo

Leo Valiquette liked an update for LOUISIANA BLOOD - A Chandler Travis and Duke Lanoix mystery.

Just wanted to update my faithful followers with the latest red hot news to come my way!  LOUISIANA BLOOD is a FINALIST in the SCREENCRAFT CINEMATIC BOOK CONTEST.  It was always my plan to reverse engineer the book into a film, and this is the first step in that journey.
