Bryn Hagan recommended The Animal in Man
this is good, and the setting of the scenes is nicely descriptive and things flow really well. As for the story, I have a lot of questions, which I'm sure you will answer as the story goes on. Great start, will read more.
The Animal in Man I: Violent Mind
Embark on an adventure that leads Maxan, a cunning fox, to uncover technological marvels and truths about his world that will forever change the fate of all species, be they animals, or mankind itself.

Some of the greatest writers used the present tense to great effect. Here is an excerpt from E. B. White found in several writing books.

"On many days, the dampness of the air pervades all life, all living. Matches refuse to strike. The towel, hung to dry, grows wetter by the hour. The newspaper, with its headlines about integration, wilts in your hand and falls limply into the coffee and the egg. Envelopes seal themselves. Postage stamps mate with one another as shamelessly as grasshoppers."

The passage is vivid. I would like to capture words as surely as he does, but many people take exception to present tense, so I feel as a new author it is wise to return the safe past and save the dangerous tenses for a day when they are necessary.

Lost Generation hops heads frequently, but as I polish to the work, I also focus each chapter's point-of-view. My goal since the end of the first Sword & Laser contest is to impress and shock my readers. They have put their faith in me, and I must deliver.
