Good news. I finished the book.
Well, technically I reached the end of the book, which is still good, if a little less ’final’.

See? Chapter 32 is done. I wrote the end of the book.
For reference, the final words are: "Thank you." And don’t worry, that’s not a spoiler.
If anyone could guess who says it, to whom and the context, I wouldn’t be doing my job. Rest assured it’s a very satisfying thank you with some nice "Book 2" implications to boot.
I also wrote 1000 words in a single day (just) for the first time in what feels like months, which felt good. With November coming up, and NaNoWriMo with it, it’s promising that I’m getting back in a groove. I still haven’t decided if I’m participating, but we’ll see how it goes. I would like to get some work done on LandFall...
Goals for the next week: Finish chapter 23, get to work on chapter 26 and maybe even, y’know, finish the book.
Orders, Faoii! Listen up!
I am incredibly honored and humbled by the slew of private couriers bringing me letters in the last day. So many of you have offered me congratulations and praise for this newest milestone of ours. Quill is no small feat, and I am proud of all of us. However, I was surprised by how many of you said "Congratulations! Now maybe you can get some sleep."
Does this fight look like it’s over to you, Faoii? Get back in line.
No. We are still 2 weeks away from the end of the Geek and Sundry Contest. We gathered this army so that we could fight to the top of that hill and we will still do it. Two weeks to overtake 3 people. We overtook 300 in less than that. How dare we give up now?
We need more soldiers. Ask people. Directly. Do not be afraid of talking to them. Do not be ashamed for seeking aide. That hill cannot be taken without more blades on the field-- and we cannot get those warriors without seeking them out. Yes, the book will definitely appear appear on Amazon in the future-- but I can’t sign copies of books purchased after the fact. If your friends want a signed copy of The Last Faoii they MUST join our battle. Remind them that waiting won’t give them the chance to name one of 3 characters or a free edit from an English teacher and soon-to-be-published author. Remind them that this world is worthy of leading in that contest.
Remind them that we are faoii.
Two weeks. I will see you at the top of that hill.

All, thank you for the support. I have gotten some news that I’m waiting to see how it pans out but two media productions companies have asked about the series. One would like to submit it to Universal studio. Another is suggesting submitting a finished film to the Sundance festival. Sorry, I had to look that up and see what it was. And after looking it all up. I was like Wow! Wow, I never expected all this attention on something not published yet. I knew it had gained stellar attention off line but I didn’t expect anyone to recommend it to a production company! I laughed to myself "I can get a film production recommendation when I can’t get an online book one."
Yes, I’m aware there are scam artists out there who will say they will make your book into a movie if you pay them large sums of money. So always do my research on such offers.
I will let you all know how it turns out.
Hello there wonderful people,
Things are going good and with the help of my amazing beta readers I am hard at work on some rewrites to make this book better.
But that’s not what this update it about. My good friend Andre Brun in in the Inkshares horror contest and has fallen out of third place but not by much. He only needs 4 more readers to take back the hill. So please check out his super creepy book Acacia and help make his dream a reality.
