Hello Friends!

I am one of those dramatic and obnoxious men who every time they get a cold are convinced they are “patient zero” and the end of humanity as we know it starts with their over-aggressive cooties.

So today, as I was laying on my couch dealing with a cold and watching end of the world movies. I stumbled upon 28 Days Later. What I love most about that movie is the fact that is not about the infected (I will not say zombies because I know there are two schools of thoughts about it and fellow nerds will gang on me) it is about the humans and their capacity for compassion and cruelty. Every time I finish watching it, I think “humans are the monsters in this monster movie.”

Because “Good writers borrow, but great writers steal.” I decided that the horrors of human nature will be the theme for The Catcher’s Trap sequel: Worlds Walker.

I was born and raised in Chile during one of the most brutal dictatorships in the planet in the 70’s and 80’s. I know what human monstrosity looks like, and I want to write about it.

The continuation of The Catcher’s Trap gives me the opportunity to explore and challenge the idea that we, humans, are the victims and heroes of the monsters lurking in the dark.

I’m sharing this because the idea excites me and, as I continue writing Worlds Walker, I want to share the process with you.

I’ve created a blurb for the second book on Inkshares, but I will not ask you to follow it because there is nothing there yet. I won’t upload chapters or turn it into a draft until The Catcher’s Trap is out because the opening scene of the second book is a huge spoiler. But I will share with you my writing process and main themes. I will also ask you for ideas when I find myself trap by my own plot.

So I hope you enjoy coming along as I write my second novel (God help us all).

I have officially started writing, as in there are words and sentences and all that novel stuff.

The problem: there’s still just SO MUCH to compile and discover about life in the year 2120! I spent most of yesterday afternoon drafting up the rules for the android fights, straightening out the different android models (my brother is drawing blueprints for various android models, so I can’t wait to share those finished products!), and then doodling around with plot & scene ideas for Project Human’s sequel (very excited about that).

We’ll see if I can make it through this first draft in a month . . .

Hi Wolf followers! 

Closing two weeks with no updates (my laptop found a good time to get broken!) & a month of campaigning!! A lot of exciting things have happened since you last heard from me:

First, we have reached 174 preorders (which is 70% from being published and 23% from a full Inkshares contract)

Second, we had orders from Inkshares’ thriller queen Kris Calvin & newly Quill author, the inspiring Caroline Reber - please check out their books by clicking on their names. 

Finally, Chapter 4 has been edited by me roughly 700 times, and is now all set to be released to the public (I initially thought that it reveals too much of the plot-line so skipped straight to 5, but I soften a bit since... age does its thing i guess). It will be released when we hit the milestone of 200 pre-orders. I do need a couple of volunteers to proofread... email me at ydital@gmail.com if you are interested.

Also - may i please ask that each of you with spare 5 minutes, instead of going to Ynet, Twitter/Face Book or shopping on Next (UK parents will relate) - will find ONE person to preorder my book? just one person.
