Amanda Orneck liked an update for Monkey Business

Hey Guys and Gals. If you have watched, read or heard any news this morning it’s a pretty depressing Sunday. Not really the best day to review a funny book but I wanted to thank those of you who got a review in yesterday so the Review-A-Thon continues.

If you feel like leaving a review today, you can do it here.

My heart goes out to everyone touched by the tragedy in Orlando this morning.

Scathing critiques say more about the one giving the criticism than the work being criticized I believe.  I have been on the receiving end of that too many times myself and it is not helpful in the least.

Part of it depends on the author, I think, but as a general rule it seems preferred that critiques be done privately. This is especially true for excerpts currently in the funding phase, since negative comments (however constructive) draw attention to issues both real and perceived, and affect how visitors view the project. I’d like to say that anything goes for a project that’s still in the draft stage, since that stage is supposedly for people to perfect their project pitch, but there again, it’s always best to be constructive.

Good morning!! As I promised, here is the first piece of the painting! The subsequent pieces will be revealed every 25 pre-orders from here on out :) And thanks to all of you I’m currently in 3rd place in the contest! I want to ride this momentum and push myself to write even harder this weekend :)

Hey everybody! So as some of you know, I’m a first year teacher and I’m just starting to enjoy the number one perk of the job in my opinion...SUMMER VACATION! It was a great end to a great school year and I’m anxious to get this book all wrapped up and into your hands. I still lack about 100 issues to meet my "Quill" publishing goal, but I’m confident that with a little marketing and enthusiasm it will come. Thanks everyone for hanging in there and being patient.

          All the best,

          J.H.Trevino
