Leo Valiquette liked an update for Under The Rug

What’s up my patient supporters. Production on Under The Rug has been slightly delayed—a project in front of mine in the queue was held up a bit. But worry not. I’ve been informed that things should be moving forward for Under The Rug by late May/early June. I’m a little bummed, sure, but I’m trusting the process, and, well, it’s kind of how the publishing world goes. I hear remodeling homes sheds a similar skin.

Anyway, while waiting on Inkshares to get Under The Rug out ASAP, I’m not sitting on my ass. Well, I have been sitting on my ass, but I’ve been writing while sitting on my ass. The new book is called, "Counterpunch", a story about four friends: brain injured Jack, his best friend Rodney, Tommy the Asian priest/world famous stand up comedian, and Jose the gay latino mixed martial arts champion. Led by Rodney, the four friends set out to make all their childhood dreams come true, but neither of them can do it without the help of the others. It’ll make you feel happy, sad, and pleasantly appalled. Good day.

Talk to ya’ll real soon. As always, thanks for the love.

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Blind

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been slacking on regular updates, I’ll try and stay on top of it for everyone. Blind is still in the pre-production phase at Inkshares, which isn’t a fast process. Generally, traditional publishing takes over a year for a novel to be released, so I hope you all understand why you don’t have the book in your hands just yet. I’m supposed to be updated May 1st from the publisher on the next steps and hopefully have a release date for you all. While it seems I’ve been absent, I promise you I’ve been  busy working on another story to bring to everyone. This summer I will be releasing my novella "damned to hell" and everyone that pre-ordered will be given a free eBook! If you desperately want a physical copy, those will be for sale at a "blind preorder discount". If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can! Thanks everyone!

Leo Valiquette sent an update for Bane of All Things

Well, here we are into a long weekend and Bane of All Things’fate remains undecided. That’s the way it often goes in the publishing world. Editors are busy folk. It’s usually the busiest who are the ones an author wants to work with most.

Getting a novel published and levering that into a career is a long game that demands patience and persistence. In the meantime, here is Smokey and Snowbelle to wish you a Happy Easter, even if neither of them was willing to play along and stay in that basket this morning for the photo opp ;)

Enjoy your time with friends and family this weekend, however you chose to observe it.

I will just leave you with the usual thought – so long as the jury is still out on BoAT, additional pre-orders continue to matter to help influence the editors in our favour. We are at 425 now, let’s nudge that total a little higher!

          Cheers

          Leo

Leo Valiquette liked an update for The Wildlife Confessional: An Anthology of Stories

            Happy Spring,

Thank you all again for supporting The Wildlife Confessional. I wanted to take a quick moment to share with you an update on the project. For those of you who were key in helping this project meet it’s sales goal, you may remember that we met that goal in February 2018 under Inkshares’ "Quill" program. That program has since been retired, and Inkshares is working their way down the list of Quill qualifiers, of which we happen to be the very last funded.

And so we - and, in turn, you - are simply waiting in line until our turn comes along to be assigned an editor for layout, design, and production. Otherwise, the manuscript is done and ready for submittal. But we haven’t been idle. In the Jan/Feb 2019 issue of The Wildlife Society’s very own professional magazine, The Wildlife Professional (do you see what we did there?), we ran a teaser for anthology contributor Brian Cypher’s story, The Pirate Kit Fox. If you are fortunate enough to be a member of The Wildlife Society, I hope you’ve had a chance to read it.

Rest assured, as soon as we hear that we’ve moved up to the front of the line, you - our faithful readers and supporters - will be the very first to know!

Until then, thank you for your patience and understanding.

            Regards,

            Matthew

Leo Valiquette liked an update for Jeremiah Gets Bullied

All, thank you for your support. Things have been progressing well on my end. I will have a front cover posted on Inkshares around 1 May. I am having my illustrator draw two pictures that my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook friends can vote on to select their favorite front cover for Jeremiah Gets Bullied. I have the intention to push forward in my book series and would like to make as many friends as possible along the way. I hope that my children’s book series will improve the attitudes of not only our children but for generations to come. How can you help...easy. All you need to do is leave a comment on my Inkshares site or pre-order a book. There is no risk associated with pre-ordering a book or leaving a comment. If I do not meet my goal, my backers receive a full refund. I hope you tell your family, friends, and any veterans you may know. After my book is published, I will donate 30% to various charities voted on by my loyal friends - YOU.
