Lore Update: Excerpt from, The History of Valthera by Artemis Asinere

On the topic of the Time Traveler.

"From the first accounting onward of a rumor regarding a technique created by the ones who call themselves the Great Beings, or more commonly known as half-breeds.
The Great Beings, taught by the human Lord Setain Valentine--father of the Aeon known as Eon Genesis [Leon Valentine]. Has created a technique to reverse time and even stop it.

The Children of Men, the creatures who live such short lives--suffer from their mortality in a way that a Norse suffers from not being included in war. Or a Trebizond who catches a small skipper in place of a large multi-scaled tre’bond fish.Their imperfection is as evident as their lack of strength.

Death’s reports have changed--the machine’s collection deemed to be perfect by the creator Nien Jekyll. After conduction interviews in the cities of Tetu-jand, Faovoror, Bleika, Parise, Lofalla the men of these cities had been killed in the battles of Cheshire and Li’onis, have seemingly survived their supposed deaths.

Reports of the boy known as Victor Valentine appearing to sway battles, that--according to my information were lost by the Lutnatw. The technique therefor is not complete.
As Cle’vier Shire had previously created a technique that truly altered time and space, all accounts would then shift with the alterations that the first Shire would create.

Cle’vier’s first battle with the Dragon Fafnir was a resounding defeat according to the Dragon himself--however, according to the Dark Lord Fafnir, Cle’vier sent himself back multiple times through multiple universes to finish the fight. Even then falling short and only repelling the Dark Lord Fafnir.

James Rasile liked an update for In Beta

Hey folks. Good news! This morning, I was featured on an episode of the "Oatley Academy Artcast." If you want to listen to me talk a little about IN BETA, and a lot about pitching feature films, check it out here: http://oatleyacademy.com/firstfeaturepitch/

Even this awesome jolt of publicity won’t be enough to win the Nerdist contest. There are two days left, and the battle for 2nd and 3rd place is HOTLY contested.

I need your help to end up in the top 3 spots. If you’ve been waiting to order, now is the time. If you have already ordered, please turn to a nerd friend, tap them on the shoulder, and softly whisper in their ear that your buddy Prescott has a book they might like. With the Inkshare’s $5 credit, the ebook for IN BETA is only $5. Be sure and whisper it real soft.

And remember: You can’t spell "success" without a "u".

James Rasile liked an update for Squids In
      Hello!

By my reckoning there is two days left in the Nerdist competition and SQUIDS IN currently requires a minimum of 56 pre-orders to get a top 3 finish. Sadly there are only 55 followers who have yet to commit to ordering, so I don’t think we’re gonna make it. I would love to get back up to 5th place however and that seems very achievable. Another 4 pre-orders will do it :)

GREAT NEWS! The second SQUIDS IN raffle prize winner Brian Guthrie has received his octopus and sent me this photo....

We may not finish top 3 in the contest but Hendrix has now strategically positioned his offspring in the UK, US and Germany. In revenge for not winning, he is going to unleash a deadly virus and there is nothing you can do to stop him. Just be sure to go outside and spray paint a "10 Octopuses" symbol on the wall before you go. It may help to educate a future generation about where it all went wrong:)

Thank you guys for all your support throughout the contest. This will be my last update before the result is announced.

      Matthew

James Rasile liked an update for The Last Faoii

        Hi, everyone!

As always, I want to start off by thanking you for your support of The Last Faoii. It’s a tough road, but I have so many people keeping me going that I know we’ll make it. :)

Today was eventful. I stared putting up flyers about The Last Faoii in my hometown. Combined with the advertisements I’ve purchased, I’m really hoping that pre-orders start picking up. I also set up a meeting with a local bookstore owner so that we can talk about when/how I can offer a reading for The Last Faoii. Thrilling and terrifying, that.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to put up any sort of information at my local library, but several people made up for that by stepping forward and volunteering to put up flyers in their hometowns. Can you believe it? People all around the country are going to start seeing The Last Faoii flyers! If you want to join in that fun, send me an e-mail (tahani.nelson@gmail.com) or find me on Facebook (Tahani Nelson) and I’ll send you a digital or hard copy of the flyers. I would love the support!

The Last Faoii was recently nominated for the Break the Beschdel with Strong Female Characters syndicate again, which is exciting. However, so was Evan Graham’s super-awesome Tantalus Depths and I kind of want to see him win. He really deserves it. Still, it was an honor to be nominated again.

On top of that, I guess The Last Faoii was also nominated for a different syndicate, too. But I don’t know which one or how that’s going. I hear weird things through the grapevine sometimes. If anyone has more information, drop me a line, please.

Anyway, I’m going to try to put up more flyers tomorrow, but I also have a protest to go to, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll have. Still, I stayed up for days at a time writing The Last Faoii, so I should be able to stay up days at a time trying to promote it, right?

Take care of yourselves. Follow The Last Faoii on FB if you haven’t already. I’d love to see you!

        Love always,
        T

          Dear Inkshares family,

With only 24 more days of funding, I am asking for your help! The first little step: I need 5 pre-orders to reach 150. Someone is going to win a personalized Idan Carré sketch suitable for framing!

          Thanks, everyone!

              Author Spotlight

I would like to highlight this incredible book by fellow Dragons, Dread, and Droids member, Matthew Dho: I Am Waltz.

This work promises to showcase the best of what science fiction can be, familiar, yet strange, and exploring timely and deep philosophical questions while also entertaining and delighting readers.

Please support this independent science fiction author in pursuing his craft. All author proceeds go to the families of those killed in the Orlando nightclub shooting, so you will also be supporting a good cause.

              Thank you.
