John Dennehy liked an update for Sorcery for Beginners

Readers, Friends, and Sorcerers All ...

... One hundred, that is. ONE HUNDRED PRE-ORDERS!!

Not bad for two weeks. I can’t thank you all enough. You showed your support with your Facebook shares, and your tweets, and most importantly, your pocket books.

As of today, there are 14 days left in the Inkshares publishing contest. I’d love to sell 200 more pre-orders by then, and make it into the top three. Is it a tall order? For sure. We entered this contest late but you guys have stepped up in amazing fashion. I think we can do it. That’s 21 orders a day. If every person who followed this book on Inkshares bought a pre-order, we’d be more than halfway there. If everyone convinced someone they know to take a look and buy a copy for their nephew, we’d be done. I would be over the moon.

I believe in you all. And I thank you for all your support!

John Dennehy liked an update for The Last Faoii

WE DID IT, FAOII! WE REACHED QUILL!

Five years of working on this. 200 agents that either said "no thanks" or nothing at all. Dozens of re-writes. Thousands of moments of doubt. All of it has finally come to this. We reached Quill. No matter what happens now, this book will be a physical, real thing. People will be able to read Kaiya’s story. Her world will not be lost to oblivion.

    Thanks to all of you.

I can not adequately explain my feelings on the matter. For so long, this has been my everything. And now there’s finally a chance of it becoming more than that. Mostly, I feel humbled. Elated. Terrified. Alive.

    It is wonderful.

The battle isn’t over, of course. There’s still a couple weeks left in the Geek and Sundry Contest. It’s going to be hard-- damn near impossible, actually-- but according to the rejection-letter-origami-zoo I have sitting in my office, so was getting this far. "Impossible" is just a word, and not one that is in faoii vocabulary.

We’ve made it this far. We can take that hill, and we can still claim more victories in the final month before the campaign ends. The idea of "failure" is officially behind us-- there is no losing now.

Fight on, Faoii. I have never been so proud of this army as I am now.

    Thank you for everything.

John Dennehy sent an update for Illegal

      750! We did it.

Thank you. This is a dream realized for me, and I couldn’t have done it without the support of so many of you.

What’s next: I’ll be assigned an editor and together we’ll work on making Illegal the best it can be, a design team will work on the books look,  and then the marketing team will take over. Finally, Inkshares will mail out your copy and distribute Illegal to bookstores throughout the country. Hard to say exactly when that will be, but my best guess would be in the later half of 2017. I’ll send infrequent updates when there is relevant information to share, like a firm publication date.

Keep sharing this story. And keep encouraging others to buy this book.

      Onward and upward.

        So...it’s Friday...

and it’s been a good week. I managed to stick to a routine of waking up early and getting writing done before breakfast. I had 2 days off, Saturday (which is always a day off) and Thursday (Playstation VR release day), but I made good progress on the other days.

Chapter 31 is done, and 32 is on it’s way. My goal for this week is to hit that fabled 100,000 word mark.

        See you then.

John Dennehy liked an update for Tantalus Depths

          Look at us go!

That’s sixteen in one day! a bit short of my target, but only just barely. With just three days left to earn 60 more pre-orders, we need to shoot for no less than twenty a day. That can be anywhere from twenty new readers buying one copy each, ten people buying two, or two people buying ten. I’ll take whatever I can get!

It should be noted, however, that the success we’ve seen today isn’t even all mine. Tantalus Depths has had yet another honor bestowed on it!

That’s right! We’ve been backed by another syndicate! This time we’ve received the great honor of being October’s pick for the Rite of Passage Syndicate: a newer syndicate that specializes in supporting first-time authors. Their support has really helped keep this campaign on track in its most crucial hour. All the thanks for today goes to these heroes!

Let’s not let up now, though. There are a few minutes left on today’s clock to reach our original target of 19 orders. Heck, getting a head start on tomorrow would be fantastic as well. Either way, we need to scrape together 60 more orders by the weekend, so keep pushing! The end is in sight.

John Dennehy liked an update for Blue Water

            Hello Blue Water followers.

Two things.  One, I hope you have been enjoying the look into the past of our protagonist Emily Hunter via her blog diary.  I hope I’m not spamming you guys with entries.

Secondly, and most amazingly, I am writing to you all to thank you for all you’ve done to support this book.  There were times I didn’t know if I could keep this rollercoaster called "Crowdfunding" going.  But you all kept me strong.  And thanks to you, as of 7:00pm eastern, Blue Water has gone from a dream to a reality.  I am so proud to say that because of you all, we have officially hit our Quill goal.  Blue Water is going to be published.  That sentence was so fun to type that I’m going to do it again.

Blue Water is going to be published.

Now, a few things to know.  The funding period for Blue Water still ends November 14.  Preorders for the book are still going to be sold until that date.  Once that date comes, Inkshares will get in touch with me to request the manuscript.  Currently the manuscript is still in a draft form, however, it’s very close to where it will be when I submit it.  I have a few last changes to make before I let it loose.

After Inkshares receives the manuscript, it has to go through a process with them, before it’s released during a scheduled period.  There are books ahead of mine that Inkshares will release first.  It’s likely your copy of Blue Water won’t be in your hands until sometime after mid 2017.

Between now and then, please continue to follow us here, or at our website (bluewaternovel.com) or our Facebook page (facebook.com/bluewaternovel) for updates, and for more fun surprises as we get closer to our official release.

Thank you all again, I cannot wait to share this story with you.  And thanks to you all, I can.

            All my gratitude,
            Joseph
