A series of short stories where individuals all seeking help from a scientist who has just moved to the city. He is able to provide what the people want, but with some dire consequences. Each story is interwoven with the next.

In the near future, cancer can be cured with a simple, yet limited, treatment. When his daughter is denied treatment, Kellan Black breaks free from the fascist Government to steal the cure in this divided American dystopian setting.
