Hi Fred, Yes unfortunately the document conversion system we are using right now drops formatting markup when you  upload a chapter.  Chris is correct: you can add formatting by highlighting the text and choosing from the options that appear in the toolbar over the selected text.

I’m assuming you know about highlighting a bit of text to bring up the formatting menu and/or insert pictures.

Aside from that, I don’t know. Being able to centre those section dividers would be nice, but I guess I can live without it. The H3 formatting does increase the font size, for the purpose of making up a heading title or something. If that’s your reason for wanting to change the font size, then I guess there’s your answer. But anything more creative than that seems to be out of the question.

I’ve generally kept the required formatting to the minimum. I don’t remember if I had to go over everything that should have been in italics/bold to fix them, or if they uploaded ready-fixed, as there were so few of them. (Actually, it turns out that my uploaded prologue has an italicised bit that isn’t italicised in my master document, so I guess I must have done some format editing at some point.)

Wondering if anyone has a way to either retain upload formatting, or to do simple formatting changes after uploading, such as centering and font size changes.
