Pipeline not sending thank you emails?

The Thank button activates a new message in your default email client; or, at least, that’s how it works for me. So it comes to the same as sending an email to someone. Could it be a spam filter thing?

I know, if I’m thanking them via chat or some other means, I will click the Thank button and then close the new message without sending it, in order to flag the person as "thanked" without actually sending an email. But that’s something I do on purpose.

Just checking to see if and why this is happening to anyone else.

I’ve been using the Thanks button on the project dashboard whenever someone pre-orders my novella, because hey! Thanks for pre-ordering this thing I wrote! But it doesn’t sound as if it’s getting where it needs to go, as I’ve heard from at least one person that they didn’t receive a thank you email from me, while my pipeline says otherwise.
