I’ve just had a go at making a teaser trailer for 1000 Faces, using WeVideo:

It was surprisingly easy!

This is one of those areas where it pays to have connections.
Ask around. You’re bound to have someone in your social network who has access to a halfway decent camera and editing software, and the knowhow to use them.

Try WeVideo (.com). I’d never made a video in my LIFE and was able to figure that one out. (It’s also what Christopher Lee used to make my FAOII trailer which you can view here:

That’s the goal, but unfortunately I lack even the most basic video editing skills, so I’m starting with Plan B.  I’ve come across a few decent trailer designers since my initial post, but they’ve all been booked out, so I’m still on the hunt.

Hello Chris,

I made my own trailer using a combination of my IPhone and laptop.

I used the built in video software on the laptop to edit the video I made with my phone.

I spent $20 for permission to use music that I found on the internet.

I tried to be as simple as possible and I think it carries my story fairly well.

G’day, me again.  You must all be sick of me spamming the forum page by now.  Prior to starting my Inkshares campaign I searched around and couldn’t really find too many places to have a book trailer made.  I did find a few but some are.. aah, better than others.  I don’t have the skills or knowledge to make my own.

However, everyone on Inkshares seems to have a book trailer and most of them look terrific.  So my question is, where are you all going to have them made?  Alternatively, is there anyone that made their own that would consider making one for me?  I’m happy to pay, of course.

It may be too late for me to have one made up for this campaign but I figure either my book gets published and I can use it to promote further sales, or I can use the trailer to increase my chances the next time I try to get published.

Penny for your thoughts?
