Dearest Readers and Miscellaneous Followers,
Today Fae Child rocketed past 60 books preordered (many thanks to those who ordered today!), and so the first phase of my adorable fantasy creature giveaway has kicked into gear. I entered the numbers into a random draw, and ORDER 53 was picked. Danika Kenn! I have already been in contact with her, and she picked the cute green dragon. He will be getting some hugs for the road and then being shipped out this weekend. Congrats Danika, and thank you for your support!
This leaves the PINK DRAGON and the ALMOST-TOO-HAPPY UNICORN as the giveaways for orders 61-70 and 71-80.
Don’t miss out! Preorder today!

Hello dear Readers (and Followers),
Fae Child is nearly at 60 orders! Just two more orders and I’ll draw a Reader’s name to win one of those adorable stuffed animals from the last update. You know you want one. In case you forgot what they look like…
How can you resist?? For $10 you could have a copy of Fae Child as an ebook AND a dragon. I mean, come on. What other book is offering you your VERY OWN DRAGON? None of them!*
The FantasticInk contest ends at the end of October, so we have one more month to gain in the standings. If we keep the preorders steady we will get higher than the 20th place we’re in right now. My campaign will be running until the end of the year, but the higher we place, the more recognition Fae Child gets and the more eyeballs on it, the more orders, etc etc.
It’s been a rough week emotionally, but I’m going to be cliché and keep calm and carry on. Every day with a pre-order is the best day, and every day without one is the worst. It’s been a rollercoaster! With 94 days left in the campaign, Fae Child needs just over 2 orders a day to reach Inkshares’ light publishing goal. WE can do it. I can’t do it on my own. I need your help to get the word out on your social networks.
Thank you for believing in me and my book.

*as far as I know
Dearest readers and followers -
It’s like Finding Nemo crossed with the Chronicles of Narnia! It’s Alice in Wonderland mixed up with a PG-13 rated Taken plus Pan’s Labyrinth! What is this magical book? It’s FAE CHILD!
Have you been waiting on buying your copy? Wait no more! We’re doing a GIVEAWAY! *tosses confetti*
I will be giving away one of these mythical creatures (which you can find in the Otherworld, of course) to one of the next ten people to preorder Fae Child. We passed 50 orders, so when we reach 60 I will pick one name at random from orders 51-60 and that lucky person will get their pick of the three. 61-70’s winner will pick from the two remaining, and the last one will be forced upon someone from the range of 71-80*. Excited?? I AM! Preorder your copy now!
I also have a ton of promotional bookmarks (pictured above), which I bought to give out/leave around at a local comic con. Alas, they arrived too late! I am still going to be sprinkling them around town, but I got a lot of them, and so everyone who orders a signed paperback will be getting at least one in their copy of the book. If I can’t slip them inside while I’m signing, then I’ll mail you some bookmarks. OR if you want some to hand out to friends to help promote Fae Child’s funding campaign right now, then message me and I’ll mail you some immediately.
* BeanieBoos may be slightly hugged before shipping. Additionally "ty" is not affiliated with this giveaway or the book, this is self-sponsored
Click the link below to order. If you don’t see a link, it’s because you already have. Thank you!

Hello you. Yes, you! You’re important!
Just wanted to drop an update to announce that Fae Child has 40 readers and 48 copies sold. That’s SO close to 50, guys, I can hardly believe it. This update is going out to 83 followers - if you’re following and haven’t backed the book yet, this is your chance to do so! Or, if you can’t support Fae Child financially, you can tweet about it, or mention it to a friend who really likes books. Or maybe you run an independent bookstore and you want 200 copies for your shelves? No? Well, it was worth a shot. ;)
I have been featured in my first author interview! Check it out here. I talk about my influences, how I got started writing, and of course about Fae Child.
Additionally, I’ve recorded a song with my niece and some of her friends on Smule’s Sing!Karaoke app to help promote the book. It turned out pretty cool, and I’ve stuck it on the Fae Child page as a book trailer of sorts. I may take it down out in a few days, so if you want to see it, go now!
I think that’s it. Oh - I’ve posted another bit of story (the first part of the next chapter) to celebrate reaching 40 readers. I’ll be sending that along to you... now. Enjoy!
Thanks again for everything,
Jane-Holly
Two updates in one day? It’s for a good reason, I promise! The Rite of Passage Syndicate has selected Fae Child as it’s pick for September. We’ve been updated with a badge, and everything!
The syndicate says: "Fae Child is exactly everything the Rites of Passage Syndicate hopes to accomplish here on Inkshares.com. Meissner has crafted a winner!"
Thank you so much to the Rite of Passage Syndicate! This means a great deal to me. Onward and upward!

Hello Readers, Followers, and Lurkers!
Quick update today: Christopher Lee (author of The Lore of the Aos Sí) made a book trailer for Fae Child! It is complete, and here it is (you can also view it on the Fae Child main page):

I just love it. Thank you again, Christopher! As a reminder, he is running a promotion where if you preorder his book and review/recommend it he will make you a book trailer. If you’re in need of some fancy multimedia to help promote your book you should jump on it!
