Hello readers!

THANK YOU!

Yesterday we were 5 away from 50% light-publishing and I asked for some help getting there and you did it! As of today we are just over the 50% light-publishing mark! It’s been a fun month with many more to come.

Let’s keep the momentum up and the ball rolling and hit another milestone in this crazy process!

Thank you all who have pre-ordered, and recommended, and shared Cape’s Side Bay, you are all the best! And I’m not just saying that.

Thank you so much, you’ve made my Monday great!

- James

p.s

There are a few books that are in their final days of pre-orders that you should be sure to take a look at!

LOUISIANA BLOOD - A Chandler Travis and Duke  Lanoix mystery, by Mike Donald has 2 Days remaining.

Scribbles: A collection of words, by Tabi Card has 12 Days remaining.

Beyond the Code, by Kelsey Rae Barthel has 12 Day remaining.

There are of course a ton of great books to check out here (I could go on and on, but I’ll save that!), these are just a few that are coming to an end soon!

Hello cottagers! Still not sure that works…

Anyway, 120 pre-orders strong! Wow, unbelievable. Still a long way to go, and I ask that if you are still on the fence in regards to pre-ordering your copy of Cape’s Side Bay please do so. We are 5 pre-orders shy of hitting 50% of our light-publishing goal which is HUGE and would be great to hit that mark this weekend… THE WEEKEND ENDS TONIGHT!

Once again a huge thanks to everyone who has supported me and this book, it means a lot to me and you’re really making me excited to see what the future has for Cape’s Side Bay!

Enjoy your Sunday,

James

Hello and hope you are all having a great weekend!

Friday I posted about having 98 pre-orders and later that day we hit the big 100! We are currently at 42% of our light-publishing goal and 14% of full-publishing.

I’m thrilled to be past the 100 mark and want to once again, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, thank you all for your support and for pre-ordering!

The mugs were all drawn and the winners will be e-mailed shortly!

We’re still a long way to go from hitting all of our goals, please keep sharing, recommending and spreading the word any and every way you can. You’ve been an amazing help and let’s keep this going!

Enjoy your Sunday!

James

Hello cottagers! I dunno if that works, but I gave it a shot.

OK, it’s Friday!!!

98 pre-orders in 3 weeks! Not bad, not bad at all. I want to thank each and every one of you for helping to make this happen. Still a long way to go to Quill and an even longer way to full publication, but this is great!

Only two spots remain to win the last of the mugs. Winners will be e-mailed and announced tomorrow for the previous mugs that were won (and if we reach 100 the winner of the final mug will also be announced).

Last week I was lucky enough to be featured in a photography blog, you can check it out here! He made me look like an adult, and that made my wife happy!

With only 8 days left to pre-order be sure to check out Tabi Card’s Scribbles: A Collection of Words. Don’t miss out on it! Tabi is also to thank for the new cover design of Cape’s Side.

With 9 days left don’t miss out on Michael Sebby’s The Inhabitants: An Unremembered Life. It’s a cool science fiction story that blends the dreamworld with reality.

With 12 days left check out Louisiana Blood: A Chandler Travis and Duke Lanoix mystery by Mike Donald. You won’t be disappointed.

Also, if you’re new to Inkshares I recommend just clicking the browse icon. There are so many wonderful books on here, you can’t lose!

And as always if you are following Cape’s Side Bay and on the fence about whether or not to order I feel I should inform you that the fence is uncomfortable and we have plenty of comfy seats by the bay. :) Please pre-order and share and let’s get this book published. In the words of It’s All Fun and Games author Dave Barrett “‘cause why not?”

Take care and enjoy your day!

James

Hey everyone, happy Saturday!

Today’s a big day for me, it’s the friends and family screening party for my first feature. I’m getting anxious, not so much nervous, but anxious. Really looking forward to it!

Before I get into anything on Cape’s Side Bay’s end, I wanted to give a special shout out to Tabi Card for putting together this sweet new cover for Cape’s Side! If you haven’t already please check out her work, Scribbles: A collection of words, which is funding now and Project Human. They’re both great and I think you’ll enjoy them!

And, WOW WOW you guys are the best! Over 31% to light-publication!!! This is incredible! Who knows if we will make it that far, but I’m getting exciting. The campaign is a long long road ahead and your support will continue to be needed to help reach the goal. That being said, you’re all flipping amazing!

And lastly!

MUGS!

As mentioned above and yesterday today is a friends and family screening of my first feature film: Out There. Also as mentioned yesterday we are raffling off some of the mugs (pictured in previous update) from the film!

The first will go to all of you who have already pre-ordered. Then another will be given away to the next 10 pre-orders will be entered into a raffle for 1. And then the next 15 pre-orders will be entered into a raffle for another 1.

Let’s spread the word of Cape’s Side Bay and get it to where it needs to be to become a published novel. Which in ten years you will be able to see someone read and say “hey, flip to the back. See that? That’s my name."

Happy Friday!

Hope you’re all doing well and fine and all that. Been a busy week and looking forward to a busier weekend! Tomorrow is the "friends and family" screening party for the independent film I wrote and directed: Out There. It’s about an introvert who applies to live on Mars. It was a fun time shooting it and I’m looking forward to watching it tomorrow night!

Back to Cape’s Side Bay, we’ve passed 70 pre-orders and that is AWESOME!

Tomorrow at the screening we will be giving some friends and family mugs. Do you know what goes well with a good book? A mug of coffee, or tea, or whatever you feel you want to put in it. I want to give some away to you all!

But I can’t, there are too many of you. So... All previous orders will be in a raffle for an OUT THERE mug, then we will do a raffle after the next 10 pre-orders, then a raffle after the next 15.

Please keep sharing and spreading the word of Cape’s Side Bay! Things are going very well and I’m getting genuinely excited... which is rare for me. I promise.

And last but definitely not least, as of this writing J.F Dubeau’s A GOD IN THE SHED is just over 100 pre-orders from FULL PUBLICATION! Any help would be great, it’s a terrific read. I ordered mine! It’s great horror/fantasy.  You will not be disappointed.

Enjoy your weekend!

James

Blah it’s Monday!

Hope you all had a terrific weekend!

So, I wake up to the tune of 59 pre-orders, unbelievable. You guys are absolutely the BEST! Things are progressing quite well with Cape’s Side and I could not be happier.

I did some revising over the weekend. That’s always fun!

As mentioned when we hit 50 pre-orders the remainder of FRIDAY EVENING draft has been posted, so please give that a look if you can.

I have some bookmarks! Want one? The next fifteen people to pre-order Cape’s Side Bay will receive an ORIGINAL BACKER bookmark. I made it. They’re amazing. If you’ve ordered Cape’s Side Bay and would like one DM me.

If you haven’t pre-ordered Cape’s Side Bay and would like one I have 15! So I’ll give those to the next 15 pre-orders.

Front:

Reverse:

There’s some more fun stuff coming up!

Next 15 pre-orders will get a bookmark!

As always please continue to spread the word, share on Twitter, Facebook, E-mail, MSN Messenger, ICQ, whatever!

We’ve gotten some new followers, and to those I say welcome and hope you enjoy the book as much as I did writing it!

All the best,

James

Wow! What a weekend so far! We’ve passed 50 pre-orders!

Thank you to all of those who just started following Cape’s Side Bay, and thank you to those who pre-ordered! You’ve all made my weekend!

As promised I have uploaded the rest of the FRIDAY EVENING draft for your reading pleasure! I hope you like it.

The mysteries surrounding Cape’s Side Bay continue in Friday Evening and begin to really unfold throughout Friday Night and Saturday Morning before coming to a giant conclusion Monday night! I can’t wait for you guys to read it! The science fiction aspect of the story really begins to pick up.

Thank you all again for your generosity and please keep spreading the word, share the link! Let’s get Cape’s Side Bay to Quill so I can get back to getting sleep at night! Ha ha. After that we will see what comes. First things first!

Thanks everyone!

James

Big things to come!

FRIDAY!

Hurray! And today marks the 1 week anniversary of pre-orders! Up to 44 pre-orders so far! Thank you so much for everyone who has pre-ordered, followed, and recommended Cape’s Side Bay! It really means a great deal to me. You’re currently my favorite people on the planet.

We still have a long way to go to get to our goal, but with some hard work, some word of mouth, and maybe even some bribing, I’m confident we will get there!

When we hit 50 pre-orders the remainder of  the draft of FRIDAY EVENING will be posted, and after that only those who pre-order Cape’s Side will be able to read the fifth Chapter, FRIDAY NIGHT, before the books publication!

Let’s put our best foot forward and get there. The campaign is a long one but please don’t hold out!

I’ll leave you for the weekend with the watercolour on the temp cover of the book, without the photoshopping.

Please pass word along to everyone you know who may be interested in Cape’s Side Bay, or even if they’re not but they wanna support something awesome! ;)

Cheers to a great weekend!

James

Thanks @Jim Mosquera  . I also checked out that mini series you told me about and it looked interested. Reminded me of Twin Peaks without the craziness!  @Morgan.g.g I read the Reddit thread you sent and that was really creepy and cool! What I love about books is they NEED to end, where as creepy stories like that thread just linger.  Also you may be wondering by it took so long to get back to you.. I typically am on here with my ipad and it wouldn’t let me mention either of you. I replied a little while ago, but just in case you didn’t see those here is this post. Thanks!
