On a wayfaring ship, the waves cut in creases as the trading freighter makes it way through the sea to approach it’s destination known only to it’s passengers as The New World. Over the railing of the bow leans the lawyer sent from London to a place known for it’s harsh landscape and savage population.
In the lawyer’s hands rests a newspaper with the date JULY, 21st, 1905 that he picked up before his departure, it’s headline talking about the demise of the famous Mr. Dalley; an entrepreneur and businessman who funded much of the North-Western trading company’s attempts to being a central hub in the new found land. Only rumors speculated if they had been successful in their endeavor.
The Lawyer pulls out a letter from his jacket pocket;
Harrison,
It’s our hopes this letter guides you well on your journey to settle the late Mr.Dalley’s estate.
While we would send someone with more experience on this matter, we decided it’s best to leave this is in the hands of one of our own to ensure Dalley’s estate is handled properly.
I need not remind you how crucial it is his reputation remains intact.
When you arrive at the port, find the village elder and they will give you the supplies necessary for your trip to Webbwood. When in Webbwood; meet with the commanding officer of the regiment and they will guide you to where Dalley’s remains.
Godspeed and good health.

The lawyer puts the envelope away in his coat pocket and looks towards the horizon just as he hears a seaman shout “Land-ho!”
The journey begins.
