Hello Slothlove supporters! Did you know that sloths are excellent swimmers?!? Below is a screen shot of me and Pelota (the first sloth I ever cared for) swimming during the BBC Documentary "Nature’s Miracle Orphans" Episode 3. Shortly after this image was captured, Pelota very gracefully let go of my back and swam towards the shore. It was amazing to see her display such a useful instinctual behavior with perfect ease. In the wild, swimming is not only a life saving behavior for sloths that find themselves suddenly in a body of water...but it is also a way to disperse and reach otherwise unattainable sections of forest or islands.With only three weeks left in the campaign, Slothlove has reached 61%...thank you so much for helping me get this far and please continue to spread the #slothlove.
