Among my stories, this is my favorite. Mostly because of the story itself, but also because of the sweat I put into: two years of research and five years of writing and re-writing. As for the book, I was inspired by David Shipler’s beautiful work "Arab and Jew" and the late Edward Said’s eye-opening book "The Question of Palestine."

Peace before Destruction is a mixture of both unwavering hope for peace and the resignation of a cruel reality.
