So, it’s been a ’hot minute’ since I reached out to you all... I haven’t even tinkered with the manuscript since the addition of The President. I guess, that’s what happens when ’life’ steps in, lol! Anyhow, long weekend means nothing but BOOK, so here we go!!!
1. This weekend, ’Going Home...’ the manuscript will be polished up and ready for print. Yes. this is my goal, but it is VERY attainable... I am so excited!!!!
2. The search begins/continues for a suitable book cover. My husband and I have FANTASTIC ideas, but no way of getting them realized, so any assistance with this would be MUCHLY appreciated (I don’t think ’muchly’ is a word but it works... poetic justice and the like, hee hee)
3. This weekend I WILL be creating and posting a video for ’Going Home...’. So far I have created 6 videos (inspired by my fellow author, Stephen Carignan’s epic video, featuring his gawjuss daughter!!!). So far I’ve posted none. 7th time the charm, right??!!??
4. Baby, I’m back and I’m gonna be in your face marketing, promoting and harping on about this book. It is a fantastic fantasy flirting dangerously with reality... It will be all you think it is and more. And if it isn’t, don’t worry, it’s the first installation of a tremendous story of what could be,,, sooner than we want to admit...
So look out for me, don’t forget the book, ’Going Home...’ order a copy (or 3) we can still make this goal!!!
Hey guys, it’s been a while since I’ve been in touch, but I have been busy bringing a new character to life. Meet The President...
President George Roman looked at the cell phone and counted the rings. One. Two. Three. Without pleasantries, the President started the conversation
“I don’t want, or need, anymore issues. The Colonel is gone but he could still mess up this deal so make sure there are no loose ends.”
“Yessir”
“And please know that your hard work over the years will be greatly rewarded… what do you say to re-location to the Virgin Islands?”
The President’s aide, Nancy Tremor, entered the room right at that moment with an arm load of papers, but was soon ordered out with the customary wave of the hand. As she left hurriedly, she heard the President chuckle with whoever was on the other line and the disdain and distaste she had for her boss was etched on her face. But what could she do? It was what she had signed up for and, if The President’s plan succeeded, she was going to be The President’s aide for many more years to come. But as her friend and confidante, Colonel Tate, had said many times before she was in the place and position for change. As she retraced her steps down the White House main corridor, Nancy wiped away a single tear that had begun to fall – a tear of anger, frustration and sadness. ‘Only a matter of time, Nance’ she said to herself quietly. ‘Malcolm, don’t fail me now!’…

Things have been progressing well...I have been re reading the manuscript, trying to fill any plot holes or black holes that may have formed.I’ve also started to think about the cover design and what I want it to portray. So far, my husband has suggested an American flag with the stars replaced with symbols from other countries, e.g the hammer and scythe from the Soviet Union or the maple leaf from Canada. I quite like the idea... might run with it... What do you think?
I read the book and was totally blown away by the concept but scared by how close to the reality of what can happen today. It was a page turner and heart pumping read for me, really enjoyed it, well done and good luck Natasha.

I am near completion of the book... just a couple more t’s to cross and i’s to dot, lol. Great concept Natasha. Scary and interesting at so many levels. The funding process through inkshares is hard and it requires a lot of work, but is absolutely worth it. Feel free to reach out for advice, this is a really supporting community for authors. Best of luck.
