If you live in New York, you're aware of how crap is the weather. Well, this is a good day on Earth, in Disintegration. This is just shy of beautiful: gray skies, no direct sunlight, constant spittle raining down. Heavenly.
Just imagine a bad day.
Bad days are more normal, in my book. Charcoal-colored skies and near-perpetual, sulfuric acid-polluted rain. Being outside in that muck would be unpleasant enough without roving hordes of Ingili (corren exiles from the Confederation military) and human brigands trying to rob you at best ... and whatever you can imagine, at worst.
I've been writing. Constantly writing. Revising. Not sure how I'm going to make 750 hardcover copies but I'm wishin', and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin' (well, not prayin') ... and even though the song tells me that won't get my book into people's arms (that is what the song is about, right?), I'm-a do it anyway.
Inkshares will be adding an additional three weeks to my campaign because they now have an eBook-only purchase option that is exactly half the cost of the hardcover book.
Something to bear in mind: the price is not the cost of the book itself.
The price is the amount of your donation. Your contribution to crowdfunding the publication of a new author. Me. You'd be investing not just in Disintegration going to print, but also in getting your unique artwork-drawn by me (I'm a pretty decent artist, so this prize doesn't actually suck)--and creating exposure for this story, which would translate so well to screen. Imagine Disintegration as a Netflix series. How cool would that be?
