Happy Friday everyone!
Status Report: We are still rocking 7th on the Geek & Sundry Leaderboard with 104 pre-orders! We are also 105 pre-orders away from Quill! Let’s keep this momentum going! We can still make it into the Top 3 with your help. Keep sharing and keep telling people about the book.
The new promotion is still going on for the next 48 people to pre-order The Living God. They will get cover design services.
Speaking of cover designs! Recently, outside of the promotion, I worked with Allison Griner to create a cover for her fantastic book Storm Song. She was the only one in the Top 10 without a designed cover and a book as well written and captivating as Storm Song deserved something beautiful. Like me, Allison is also not already a previously published author with a following. Call those like us underdogs, if you will. I’m happy to see her maintaining her well-deserved residence in the Top 3 and I hope to see her there on November 1st.
Storm Song is the tale of Thoster Chatwyn, a storyteller who never imagined that he’d one day be a part of an adventure like the fantastical ones he wove together. But, adventures are dangerous and when Thoster gets in over his head, he learns the hardships of being a hero, braving dark magic and secrets to become the man he was always meant to be.
Perhaps it is because my father was a ship captain, but I’ve always had a fondness for the sea and ships and Storm Song stirs both that passion and my love of fantasy. Check it out right here! Let’s see if we can keep her in the Top 3!
I had most of this written up last night, but I want to make one addition to this update. I woke this morning to find that Evan Graham, author of Tantalus Depths spoke about The Living God in his reader update. I was really moved and was not expecting that at all. It was such a wonderful surprise.
Evan’s book is a fascinating science fiction read that is definitely up my alley, as well as a lot of people that I know. I highly encourage you to check it out. He is so close to fully funding his book. Right now he is only 197 orders away from 750 pre-orders and getting into book stores across the country. Please consider pre-ordering his book and helping him get to that monumental milestone. He has worked tirelessly and deserves it. Check out his book here.
That’s all the news I have, so on to the entertainment portion!
Saran D’Mor is the daughter of Yarin D’mor, King of Adrid. Her mother died when she was very young, and many speculate that she committed suicide to escape her husband. Saran was raised like a son and taught to fight and lead armies. As such, she lacks the qualities present in most noble women. Saran is passionate about deposing her father and placing someone more worthy on the throne but does not desire that position for herself. She wants to leave the title behind and spend her remaining days living quietly with the two men that she cares for, Keleir, and his brother, Rowe. Saran D’Mor is a Time Mage.
