If a lost book of David Lynch poems were transcribed into narrative by H.P. Lovecraft while listening to Rush's "Cygnus x-1" (song series), the end result would probably be something like Pixilated Obsidian Roses.
All kidding aside, this has the potential to be a masterful work. Of course, I love the gritty snapshots and embedded photos woven into the narrative as well. Martin has crafted a carefully planned world that expands as it shrinks, and hides as it reveals. It's mystifying, spooky, and fascinating all at once, and like many other who have commented--I find myself drawn inside its dark shadows more and more. A must own!
