Sandra liked an update for The Living God

Good morning readers!!

I hope you all head a wonderful weekend! I took a break from the computer and campaigning just to clear my head. Sometimes you’ve got to do that. I came back feeling invigorated and excited about all of the creative projects going on in my life right now, from book covers for fellow authors to beginning the final round of edits for The Living God.

Right now The Living God stands at 173 orders, 77 away from making Quill Publishing. Not bad!! So what is the difference between the 250 Quill goal and the 750 goal?  The Quill goal means that the book will get published, but not for mass distribution.  In order to get mass distribution into bookstores everywhere and all the marketing services that the book would need, we would have to reach 750 pre-orders. That’s a hefty task.

As amazing as winning the Geek & Sundry contest would be, as amazing as getting 750 pre-orders would be, if we can make Quill, I’ll be ridiculously happy. Getting The Living God into the hands of people, regardless if it can reach everyone through mass distribution, is the ultimate goal. We might not be on Inkshares Ideal Rate of funding, but we are rocking this campaign! You guys are fantastic supporters and I would not have gotten this far without you. Let’s keep going!

The book cover promotion is still going! If you pre-order The Living God you can get a book cover designed for you or a friend for as little as $10. That’s a $150-$200 value. As most of you know, I’m a professional publication designer, so you’ll be getting it from someone who knows exactly what a cover needs to make it successful!

This week I’m going to highlight Madam Ophelia, the resident Healer in King Yarin’s employement. I’ve posted Chapter 5 so you could get a short introduction to her. Below you can find a her small bio.

MADAM OPHELIA

Madam Ophelia is a Healer at the capitol in Andrian. Healers are typically female and gifted with the ability to mend wounds, but hold no other elemental magic. They also cannot heal their own injuries. Madam Ophelia, like many Healers, believes in the Grand Feminine, a woman of power who will forge a path for the domination of male leaders and usher in prosperity and peace. She believes that Saran is the Grand Feminine that they have longed for and will do anything and risk everything to see her crowned Queen. Madam Ophelia helped bring Saran into the world and watched over her after her mother passed. Every step the Healer has ever taken has been to see Saran progress towards the destiny she believes awaits the princess, whether Saran is willing to accept it or not. Her actions have always been for her self-percieved greater good. She is one of Saran’s strongest allys.
