Jim Quinlan sent an update for The Graveyard Shift

Hi all.

I’ve had some initial feedback that the story would read better if the characters had actual names, rather than being called things like "Spooky Owl" the owl could be called "Sid" or "Spooky Sid" and referred to as "Sid" rather than as "Owl". This would hopefully engage a older readership rather than just young children. I am going to consult with my experts (kids) and see what they think. Hopefully they’ll enjoy coming up with some suggestions and I think I’ll run a FaceBook Poll to help decide some of them. Stay tuned!

Thanks James.

Jim Quinlan created a forum thread: Seeded Reader Pipeline
In my dashboard under reader pipeline the tips say "We’ve seeded your Reader Pipeline with top Inkshares readers. Write them a short pitch about why you think they might like your book." I don’t seem to see any way of actually doing this. Please advise. Thanks James.

Could Admin please help with why my book doesn’t appear when I search for the title. In particular, I am trying to add it to the Inkshares Books forum but when I type the name in the related book field it doesn’t show up. Please help!

    The Graveyard Shift.

My first attempt at writing a children’s book and at publishing on Inkshares too.

Inspired by children’s entertainment such as The Trap Door, Rohl Dahl and David Walliams. I’ve tried to play on the darker almost horror side of The Trap Door with fun adorable characters and the adventure of a Dahl / Walliams book.

I’d love to know what people think of my first chapter on the book page.

    Thanks to all.

Jim Quinlan liked the forum thread, 5th line from your book...
The fifth line of Tantalus Depths is boring out of context, but the fifth line of what I’ve written so far in Proteus is much better:
"Seated in the center of this jungle of wiring was something that, a few decades ago, would have been called a man."

the fifth line of Lies and Deception :
“Help me.” Elizabeth was breathing heavily. Her voice turned down to a whisper.
“ Someone followed me to work ... he… he is now shooting the patients.”
