Michael Haase liked an update for Hiding Among the Stars

Hello followers of “Hiding Among the Stars”, thank you for the support.

I’ve been putting off doing this because it feels a bit awkward, but it needs to be done. I’m shutting down the funding for this project for now. I’ve set an end date for five days from now. After that point, this book will go back to “draft” mode and any money you’ve put towards this book will be refunded.

What happened is that the Geek & Sundry hard-sci-fi contest happened. I felt that it was a great chance to gain attention for my other partially written book, “First on Mars,” and I was right. I don’t have enough time to split my attention between two books currently so I felt it’s not fair to continue funding this one.

It’s not the end. I do intend to get back to finishing this book and trying again with a redoubled effort to get this published. When I first started I had just joined Inkshares and had no idea what I was doing. Now I have a slightly better idea ;-)

In fact, I’ve posted Chapter 4: Wodin (a five minute read). Take a look if you’re interested. It was just gathering dust on my hard-drive.

Thanks again for all your support! Don’t give up the Search!

Michael Haase liked an update for Tears of the Assassin

Hey Everybody. I wish to thank everyone for their support for Tears of the Assassin. The campaign will officially come to an end this Saturday May 14th. I know there are some followers out there that wanted to place an order in order to get an original signed copy of the book on its first printing and those folks should place their pre order before the end of the day on Saturday.

Any others considering supporting the campaign in its original version, I will thank you very much for your order. I hope everyone who reads this has a wonderful weekend. Thank you

Michael Haase liked an update for Beyond The Code

      Greetings you magnificent human beings,

Today is the last day of the campaign so I thought I’d take a minute to thank you all for carrying Beyond the Code to Quill. I’ll do my best in forging through the mostly unknown (to me) world of publishing to bring you the best book Beyond the Code can be.

The selling campaign of Beyond the Code was started kind of by accident before I was really prepared but I always strived to do the best I could. Thank you for your patience and support as I stumbled like a drunken four year old through the world of crowd funding. Your kindness and pulling together to help me with my dream has touched my heart in a way you couldn’t imagine.

We are at 257 orders so I’ll let you what. If we make it to 260 orders by the end of this campaign I will post the next chapter and I’ll do another prize draw to end things off right.

Thank you all again for bringing me this far. I’ll keep you posted on what comes next. Brave new world.

Michael Haase liked an update for An Unattractive Vampire

        Hey everyone,

I don’t really have much to say, but this did happen...

        1900 BOOKS SOLD!!!
        Bela is pleased.

Thank you everyone for all your support.

Also, Michael Hasse, soon-to-be published author of The Madness of Mr. Butler, interviewed me for Renderosity Magazine. So if your a fan of long lists and overuse of the verb "decided" head over there and check it out.

Also for those of you who write (which I know is a good portion) WildClaw Theatre, Chicago’s premiere destination for horror on the stage, is now accepting submissions for their annual radio play festival, Deathscribe.

Five selected scripts will be performed at the beginning of December with live foley and professional actors, competing for the coveted Bloody Axe Award. Can you scare up a story? Submit and find out. (Or don’t. I have enough competition as it is.)

That’s all for now. Onward to 2000!

          Greetings friends,

So news. Last weekend I returned to ye olde hometowne of Moline, Illinois for a signing at the restaurant Barley and Rye pictured here:

(Huh. Who is that magnificent jerk?)

Somewhere around a hundred people came to the event (our host stopped counting around 80). Those who had already bought there copies got them signed and we gave about 30 more to those who made a donation to Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities raising $602 for children with special needs. Thank you for everyone who came out to support me and my silly little novel including...

          And more...

Again thank you one and all! Now, if you’ll excuse me I think there are a few more of those blood-spatter cookies left.
