Chris Robinson liked an update for Ageless

LOTS  OF THE THINGS...

388.  That's the amount of followers that are (at the time of this writing) connected directly with Ageless.  388.  There are a lot of you!  I am very grateful!  If you're a lover of fiction (of the science or fantasy variety) then you're in luck, I have some recommendations for you!

I have been volunteering my sultry vocal cords (haha) and creating audio excerpts for some of the people on Inkshares that I have found to be interesting.  Here are some that I like... (just a word of warning, most of these have adult content)

First (obviously), lets start with the new novella that my good friend Patrick Ryerson and I are penning. It's called Motor City Chronicles - Book One: Transgressions.  Here's our quick pitch:

In the year 2030, the world struggles to find balance after nuclear war.  17 year old orphan, Cam Blackwell, holds an ancient secret that could bring balance to the Earth.  But first, he has bigger problems.
But it's so much more than that...think Infamous (video game) meets Blade Runner meets American Graffiti with some Sons of Anarchy sprinkled in, only it's so much better that I should add a warning that says "face-melting possible!"

We have it entered into the Nerdist Collection Contest here on Inkshares.com.  The contest ends on the September 30th, and like the last contest, the top five books will make it into production!  This time it's the top five with the most unique backers.  Let me remind you that we had the 2nd most in the previous contest.  For less than the price of a meal out, you can be a part of something special!

Take a listen to the audio excerpt!

Next, I would like to share another Nerdist Collection Contest hopeful.  J-F Dubeau's A God in the Shed.  I really enjoyed reading this excerpt.  He creates the perfect amount of tension and mystery in his sample chapter.

So you've inadvertently trapped an ancient trans-dimensional god in your backyard shed; what do you do? That's what Venus MacKenzy and her friends would like to know.

I also really enjoyed breathing life into the interesting characters of Paul Robinson's Ghosts of War (also in the Nerdist Collection Contest).  There is quite a lot of action in his sample and I am really interested in finding out how it all plays out.

Ghosts of War is a planet hopping tale of revenge and retribution. Full of action and adventure, twists and turns, and a dash of fun it's like a summer blockbuster in a book.

Take a listen to it here!

(On a side note, Paul was very happy with the excerpt, and he was kind enough to create the following new temp book cover for Ageless.  He did an incredible job creating the vision that I had in my head.  I am very happy with this design! And if you are on the fence, please preorder.)

(Isn't it amazing?!?!)

John Robin's Blood Dawn is another fantastic sounding novel!  He is all about the world building and the long fantasy, as well as great character development.  I truly could see this story being the next really great Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings.

A god-king's empire has crumbled. His dream of immortality, faded. A weaver discovers her skill with cloth is more than it seems, for she is the god-king's long lost daughter. Now she must master her gift to win back her father's stolen throne.

Listen to it here!

Finally, for now anyway, I recently recorded an audio except of Richard Heinz's The Seventh Age: Dawn.  I think the concept of bringing fantasy into the modern age is wonderful and the opening sample here on Inkshares is full of intrigue.

Before the age of reason and science, magic ruled the world. Now, it’s coming back and if most of humanity gets wiped out in the process....well, sometimes you have to break a few eggs.

Listen to the excerpt here!

WOW!  Huge update!  I hope you check out some of the book recommended here and take sometime to look through all the books.  Share this update with friends; we're all in this together!

There are many great stories waiting to be told and you can be part of it.
