Eric Landreneau liked an update for Witherfist

Hello, readers!

I hope that by now, you will have had a notification in your inbox of something exciting: Witherfist has officially gone into ’production’. What does this mean? It doesn’t mean that the book will start printing and shipping immediately, but it does mean that Inkshares have committed to producing and distributing the books to you all. You can read more about the Quill imprint, which Witherfist has joined, on Inkshares blog.

So what’s happening now? Well, currently, I’m working on writing the book! In May, I’ll be giving the manuscript to my editor for evaluation. Some time after that, I’ll hand it over to Inkshares - who will, in their own time, deliver the book to you. I can’t be any more specific with when at this stage because I haven’t even begun to have that discussion with Inkshares, but I will certainly keep you updated as and when I have more to share.

Barring any unusual happenings, I’ll send you all an update on a monthly basis. In the meanwhile, if you have any questions, please do get in touch.

~ Jenny

Eric Landreneau sent an update for Beneath White Clouds

    Hello all!

The campaign to fund an Inkshares publication of Beneath White Clouds ends tonight and it looks like... well, it looks like I’m better at writing fiction than managing a crowdfunding campaign. I’m OK with that :-)

Those of you who pre-ordered (gods among men) should look out for an e-mail from me on December 6th.

I’ve always been a proponent of the DIY approach. I am self-publishing Beneath White Clouds. I hired and editor to help me clean the thing up (because there are some things you can’t do yourself) and put together the final version of the book over the past few weeks.

Polling of my cover art concept drafts showed the original cover as a clear favorite, so I leveled-up my GIMP skills and put together a final version:

The book should be available everywhere on December 6th, 2016. It might be rude to name other booksellers and competing publishing services on this Inkshares platform, so I’ll use superhero references:

If you want a paperback, or have an e-reader which requires .mobi files, you can find it at the retailer whose name sounds like Wonder Woman should be in charge.

If you want a different kind of e-reader file (.epub, .pdf, etc.), these are supplied by the indie publisher that sounds like the Hulk’s preferred poetic style. Those guys will send the .epub version out to all the other e-book shops who aren’t run by Wonder Woman. If it’s not there when you go looking for it, it’ll be there soon.

Thanks for your support, and good luck on your campaigns!

Just wondered if it was possible, I did it before really thinking about it, and I think it would be better to leave my work as a draft and get more feedback and momentum before starting a preorder campaign.

        Greetings!

Food Holiday is over! I hope everyone loaded up and then promptly slept like lions. Then came the blackest of black Fridays where humans stampede over each other in a time honored ritual of consumerism.

Now, as we continue our march of metal holidays into the land of illuminated trees, impractically wide candles, and finally putting 2016 in it’s grave--there is one more holiday that needs to be highlighted:

        Krampus Day.

St. Nick’s counterpart. The Half-Goat Half-Demon comes on December 5th and his soul purpose is to give children who misbehaved the gift of murder. That, or coal. You see, right before St. Nick’s day on December 6th, Krampus comes out on the night before hand and rather than reward children, he gives terrible presents instead as a reminder.

If you are curious at just how awesome Krampus day can be over in Europe, check out this video of a parade. (I am going to try some embedded HTML code below and I don’t know if it will work. There is no preview feature on these updates)
