Dave Barrett liked an update for The Remains Of Civilisation

Dear readers,

Though I’m not entirely certain of the exact number of people who remember who this email is from, what this email is for, or even why they are receiving this email. And I have to admit that it is my fault for not keeping a regular, updating email list. To reacquaint ourselves: My name is Yicheng Liu, the author of The Remains of Civilisation, a Science-Fiction novel which was published last year, this is a gentle reminder that you have indicated an interest in the story and would perhaps like to purchase it as a weekend read on a variety of outlets. Though, it would be quite convenient to purchase it through Amazon, I suppose. Here is the international order link: https://amzn.to/2WHaSFM and here is the Australian order link: https://amzn.to/2DROCBy

It’s a story about rebellion, aliens, conspiracies, and ultimately, snarky humour directed at everyone and no one in particular. I had given it my all to try to offer the readers (you) a good reading experience for this book and to perhaps give you something that you would find entertaining, and beyond that, I want to give everyone my heartfelt thanks for following this story and little ol’ me on this journey.

If you want to have a quick look at the story to remember what it was all about, here’s the first four chapters:
Chapter Zero
Chapter One
Chapter Two
Chapter Three
If you’re still interested, please order from the Amazon order link above and write a review after you finish the book. I hope we can meet again as author and reader soon. Have a nice day, everyone.

Sincerely,
Yicheng Liu

Dave Barrett liked the forum thread, Best Wishes to Elena!

    Dear Inkshares Community,

After three years, I wanted to let each of you know that Elena Stofle will be leaving the company this week.

For the past three years, Elena has managed operations at Inkshares.  She single-handedly made sure your books got to backers, to reviewers at places like Publishers Weekly, and to bookstores in time for your events. Elena accomplished all of this with the skill, efficiency, and aplomb she garnered from her time in the United States Air Force.

While it will be difficult to see Elena go, I hope you will each wish her well as she goes on to pursue her MBA full time. And worry not: all books will still get to where they are going!

In the meantime, please address all correspondence to Angela Melamud, angela@inkshares.com.

I look forward to updating you in the near future on some of the people who will be joining the Inkshares team.

    Adam.

Dave Barrett sent an update for More Fun and Games

Happy New Year Everyone!  I hope that 2019 is off to exactly the start you were hoping for.

I recently discovered a review that was posted back in December. That was quite the nice new year discovery!

I wanted to let you all know that paperbacks of More Fun and Games are now available! You can get them the following ways:

Your own friendly local bookstore can order them through Ingram. It’s ISBN 9780578214610
      or
You can order them through Amazon
      or
If you would like a signed/inscribed copy, you can order them through my own friendly local bookstore, The Briar Patch.  If you had previously ordered the ebook on release day, you can use the code EBOOKFUN to save 99 cents on the purchase. You can put in inscription requests in the comment section at checkout.

I’m also determined to write more this year, which at least so far has exhibited itself in the form of working on my webpage, authordavebarrett.com. In particular, I’m going to be writing mini-blurbs/reviews of books as I read them this year. I’ve got two posted already, though I’m certainly not going to maintain a two-book-a-week pace. I’m also going to try to keep up with my blog.

As always, you can follow me on twitter or check out my facebook page.

And not but least, if you’ve already read More Fun and Games and haven’t left a review at your favorite etailers and Goodreads, please do so! A review is like giving an author a hug!

Thank you all for your continued support.

      Dave
