Michael Haase liked an update for To Live and Die in Avalon

Hey, Superspies!

Just a short update this week. The Avalon Chronicler is being put on hold for now while I focus on the second draft of the novel. The first draft is ready to be sent to my beta readers and I will be contacting them shortly, but man, Memorial Day weekend, right?

Also, I’ve put up a draft of my next project, a fantasy western Aurasong: Blue Sword. It is the first in what I hope will be a series of books that will appeal to both YA readers and fantasy fans of all ages. I’ve had the idea for ages, but the actual writing is still in its infancy (thus why it is just a draft right now and not on sale). Check it out, follow and when I get closer to wrapping up edits on Avalon, expect to see more updates on this project!

"But, what about a sequel to Avalon?"

I’m glad you asked! There are a plethora of sequel ideas bouncing around in my noggin, but I want to see the campaign through before I even give that any serious thought. There is still time left in the campaign for us to make Quill, so if you haven’t ordered yet, please do so! But, rest assured, if we don’t make it, Avalon will see the light of day one way or another! (although, I’m really hoping we at least make Quill!)

Enjoy your day off (if you get one tomorrow) and I’ll talk to you all soon!

Michael Haase sent an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

It has been quite some time since a little update on here...but, there’s children (plural) at my home now, and they both expect me to take care of them. Good thing they’re absolutely adorable...

I love being a dad. Life is good. All is well.

    Here are the updates:

The Madness of Mr. Butler: I told the Inkshares team that I will be turning in the manuscript in late August/early September. Then, we can get started with all of the editing/design, etc. Sadly, this means your books will not get to you until early next year. BUT! It’s going to be a great read. I’ve changed a ton for the better, and once my new chapters get out to my beta readers and they stab them repeatedly and I suture them back up anew, I will start posting new chapters. I will update more often.

It was not an easy decision to rewrite so much, but I’m interested in getting you all my best work, not my quickest. Thank you for your patience.

An Adventure With Dada: It’s reached 81 preorders! I couldn’t be happier! And I’m very proud of this novel. It still needs edited and polished, but the story is all written and complete.

...And I plan on doing what no other book has done on here (that I’ve noticed). Once I reach 100 preorders I WILL PUT THE ENTIRE FIRST DRAFT UP. If you like comedic novels, I think you’ll like this one. It’s weird, it’s dark, but it’s also oddly heartwarming (?) in places. I’m confident enough to put the entire thing up to read. But only after 100 is reached. And then I will take it down a week later, unless 125 preorders are reached, then back up for a week...and so on.

Plus, I made a friend in Argentina who is collaborating with me on a video for the book to put up on the page. I’ll let you know when that happens.

That’s all for now, as it’s too much!

I wish everyone the best, and I look forward to seeing what happens in this new contest!

    All my love,

    -Michael/Dada

Michael Haase liked an update for Space Tripping

Hello all you wonderful people who helped make my dream come true!

Seriously though, I can’t find the words to express how much I appreciate your support. "Thank you" just does not do justice to how grateful I am.

I figured it was time to drop you all a line to let you know where things stand. We are currently in the midst of the editing & design phase. I can’t say enough nice things about the folks over at Inkshares. They have been tremendous at every step of this process.

I’m working with their editing teams in order to spit-shine Space Tripping into the glorious pile of silly misadventure and immature humor that it is. They’ve also brought in a designer to create some gorgeous art for the final book cover. The editing/design phase should take us through the summer. After that, the Inkshares sales people take Space Tripping to market in the hopes of securing shelf space in as many bookstores as possible.

When it’s all said and done, you should expect to receive your copy of Space Tripping around the new year. I know this seems like a long time... trust me, no one wants this book to be out in the world asap more than me... but I have to hand it to the people at Inkshares. They do things the right way.

In the mean time, if you read the first chapter and you’re just dying to know how it is a drunken alien pilot crashed on Earth in the first place, you can click on the link below to read a short story prequel:

Alright, that’s all for me tonight.

It’s got to be something hard: Judas Priest, Megadeth, or someone similar.

Michael Haase liked an update for Monkey Business

There it is folks. An actual physical copy of Monkey Business sitting on my actual physical counter top. 261 copies are somewhere in the clutches of UPS right now on their way back to Inkshares HQ where those hard working folks will open them up and ship them to all of you who were good enough to back this project.

I’m so happy and proud to be the first book published under the Quill Imprint of Inkshares, especially given the many and great looking books that are soon to follow. I don’t mean to overstate but it feels like an honor and I hope the book can live up.

You should have all received your ebook files. Whether you intend to enjoy Monkey Business on your favorite eReading device or wait until actual paper is in your hands, I just hope you do enjoy it. I hope it makes you laugh. I hope it makes you glad you invested some of your hard earned dollars. If you do enjoy it you could do one more thing for me that is of vital importance.

Please leave a review on Amazon by clicking here!

As many of my fellow authors have pointed out Amazon reviews are very important to gaining visibility and growing audience. And all that marketing stuff.

So please, please, please take a moment to leave a review. Please enjoy the book. Thank you for all of your support and I’ll keep you posted as I’m hoping to do a few interviews, giveaways and other promotional stuff in the future.

One last thing. I think the next Quill novel to be released is going to be Jason Pomerance’s Women Like Us. So please go check that book out. Jason is a hell of a nice guy and happens to be a pretty damn good writer!

That’s all for now. I’ll write you guys more later and ask for more favors.

            - Landon
