James Rasile liked an update for Witherfist

Hello all.

Just a quick message to say thank you to all of you for your support. It is amazing to me that I started this project only a couple of days ago and already you’re all here with me, many of you putting your hard-earned pennies towards pre-ordering my book.

My plan is to upload some content from Witherfist this weekend, to give you a flavour of the world, the characters and the story you can expect to enjoy as a result of supporting this project.

If you have any feedback about what you read, please let me know - and if you like it, please consider sharing the book’s page with any other like-minded readers.

Thanks again, and I look forward to sharing the world of Witherfist with you all.

~ Jenny

      Hello, rebels!

This update is about two hours or so late, but it’s all fine because I’m here to deliver and you are here to witness it. Now, I made a late update around midnight to say that I uploaded Chapter One: Green Ocean, but I also mentioned the event I attended yesterday, and I must say...it went really well. To explain the event better--it was a show-and-tell type of of event where kids to young adults got on stage and present their talent/performance. It was held in a local park in my city where people usually hold events at. The crowd nearly overwhelmed me haha! I have experience with speaking in front of a good sized crowd because I’ve done speeches and my senior project featured me speaking on camera about the news circulating around my alma mater (I’m feeling old now, but it’s only been a few months! xD). So, I spoke on stage and explained my story about why I write, my books, and encouraging yourself to pursue what you love. Afterwards, I walked around and handed out cards to adults and those around my age while explaining how to contact me, the requirements for getting my book published, and what college I would be enrolling into. I had a great time and it made me much more confident in my abilities as a young individual. I may not have been taught by amazing professors, or taken courses to hone my writing, but I want to take advantage early to build experience. One of the things that matter to me is your passion to continue despite being overlooked. However, I’m sure people understand that already haha!

As the 5th day of the contest opens up, I realize that there’s a long road to the end. I want to pace myself with these other chapters, for I don’t want to expose everything in my arsenal in just one week. I will not be releasing another chapter of the main storyline until the week is up and until I at least get over 10 orders. Notice how I said "main storyline", yeah? Well, strangely enough, I was thinking about different tactics I could use to keep people invested even if chapters aren’t coming in, and I thought about doing something I call the Forgotten Stories.  These "stories" are simply telling the background of characters in the book--such as Noctis, Eldo, Aria, Balthier, or characters in the near future. Each member will have their own separate story that takes place before the world changed around them, and I may even consider showing how they lived during the apocalypse years before Tempest started. The actual events won’t be so vivid in the actual story, but merely explained and such instead of having a dedicated chapter to it, so think of this as extra chapters to the story for those who take interest in the characters. I’m currently working on Noctis, so I’d say expect it tomorrow.

Well, thank you for reading today, and remember...stay rebellious! (Our motto xD) Reach out for what you want no matter the challenges.

      From yours truly, A.J.III.
