Amanda Orneck liked an update for Welcome to Deadland

Happy #NationalReadABookDay !!!

It has been a few weeks since I last sent out an update, on the day of Welcome to Deadland’s publication, and I wanted to send out a quick message to thank you all once again and say I hope you’ve all been enjoying the novel!

I also wanted to share a bit of a raffle I’ve put together. Some of you already know this about me, but I love and collect postcards. Whenever friends and family travel I only request a postcard as a souvenir, and the cover design elements for Welcome to Deadland were inspired by postcards as well. During the past few weeks I had the opportunity to travel through Europe, and while I was in Munich, London, and Paris I picked up postcards and used them for a handwritten short story set in the universe of Welcome to Deadland. I will be raffling off the postcards/short story, as well as a series of WtD inspired postcards I’m having made, and here’s how you can enter:

1. Order a copy of Welcome to Deadland through Inkshares.

2. Recommend Welcome to Deadland to a friend, and when they purchase a copy, you will both be entered.

3. Rate/Review Welcome to Deadland on Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble. Each site you post a rating or review will count as one entry, by doing so on all three sites you will receive three entries. If you rate AND review the book, you will earn an extra entry.

4. Tweet me or post to Welcome to Deadland’s Facebook page fun pictures of your copy of the book or fan art from the story!

At the end of the month I will choose one winner who will receive the handwritten story and the Welcome to Deadland postcards, but I will also choose several additional winners for the WtD inspired postcards! There are multiple ways to win, and multiple ways to earn entries!

The best way to help a book, and author, achieve success is through leaving reviews and recommending the book to friends. Each review and rating matters.

Thank you!

Amanda Orneck liked an update for Blue Water

    Hey Everyone!

Happy Labor Day weekend.  In celebration, we’re once again running the CHARACTER NAME CONTEST.  If we get to 150 preorders by MIDNIGHT MONDAY, then one of the lucky people who orders the book between now and that time will become a character in BLUE WATER.  If you’ve already purchased BLUE WATER, and you refer someone who does buy the book, your name is in the running as well!  If you purchase three copies, your name is in the running three times.

Our last CHARACTER NAME CONTEST winner, Annie Boehnen, is featured in three chapters of BLUE WATER. Do you want to join her in the story?

In other news, in case you missed our last update, the deadline to hit at least 250 orders is now November 14, 2016.  We were granted an extension by the nice people at Inkshares, and are very thankful.

Also, another quick note: I’ve previously released the first three chapters at our website, bluewaternovel.com . I’ve rewritten Chapter 3 now, and the new version is now included in the download section at the website.  If you read the previous version, check out this newer version and let me know what you think!

As of writing this, we have 54 hours left to get EIGHT MORE preorders.  If you haven’t ordered BLUE WATER yet, what are you waiting for?  If you have, send every friend you have and get YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK!

    Thanks everyone,
    Joseph

      Dear Authors,

The end of this week will mark my sixth as CEO of Inkshares.  It’s been a long but exciting six weeks with all-time high-water marks: the most-ever new-author sign-ups as part of the Geek & Sundry Fantasy Contest; the announcement of our first venture into horror with Crypt TV beginning this coming Thursday; the sale of the TV rights for J.F. Dubeau’s A God in the Shed; and the exercise of the TV option for Filip Syta’s The Show.  Yes, The Show will be a show.

As has been actively discussed in both our emails with you, on the Slack channels, and on the forums, the Inkshares royalty structure was modified last month.  I know that my letter to the funded authors has been extensively shared, but some people suggested we share it more broadly, and here it is.
