Julia Bobkoff sent an update for King’s Daughter

To my readers: I am both humbled and thrilled to share the exciting news that King’s Daughter just made the Top 10 finalists in the Launch Pad Manuscript Competition. Dreams do not happen without the investment of friends and dedicated supporters, and each of you has brought me one step closer to achieving mine. Though this is a long-held goal pursued with a singular focus, it is not ultimately about me. It is about you--the people I hope to impact, entertain, and inspire with storytelling. There’s nothing I’d rather do with my life than this--take the seed of an idea and develop it into a full-blown offering to the world.

First, congratulations to everyone selected for The List 2016 -- very happy for all of you. There are some amazing stories there.  I have to confess, however, I’m still a little confused about how this competition and Launchpad will interact.

So, I understand from some comments here and from the FAQ for The List, that for those who are in both competitions, Launchpad "trumps" The List (for lack of a better word) and if those who are in both win Launchpad, then they are eliminated from The List.

However, if you look at the leaderboard for Launchpad right now, the three leading books have all disappeared giving the appearance that they’re no longer in the competition. So it currently shows me in the #1 spot by a single reader, which is delightful but unfortunately inaccurate.

Do those of us who are only in Launchpad need to check both competitions to figure out where we really are in the standings? Or do I clearly need some more coffee because I’m just not "getting it." (which in the week leading up to having both families at my house for Thanksgiving is ENTIRELY possible. :-))

Thanks for any clarity you can provide!

This has been submitted to support as well, but making sure people know what is going on.
For the attention of @Elena Stofle and @Thad Woodman .

With the launch of The List 2016 there has been  a problem with the Launch Pad Competition. Some nominees for The List are entrants in The Launch Pad competition, which is ongoing. Unfortunately, when the page for The List 2016 was posted, it seems any books which were also competing in  The Launch Pad competition were removed from that competition and added to The List. This is not correct, so until it is fixed, the Launch Pad leaderboard is reporting false information.
