I love how these paragraphs are so suspenseful and tense; it really captures the tone of a tense interview (maybe it’s just interview ptsd on my part haha)

maybe "he notes that it will be interesting to see..."
a little confusing; maybe "with a whispered plea it would lead him to one of the places he just left"? By now, I assume he has the power to teleport through doors, which is interesting.
heading back through the bathroom door with a whispered plea, out into one of the unoccupied rooms of the hotel he’d just left.
