Hi friends,
It’s been way too long since my last update and I sincerely apologize for that. Well, life got in the way and so it’s taking me longer to finish the draft. My ultimate goal is to finish by October and so bear with me folks!
Thank you for staying with me and supporting this project. I am looking forward to bringing Maggie’s dragon-filled journey into your hands.

Greetings, Faoii!
Some advanced copies of The Last Faoii came in today, and I’ve given myself a few minutes to adjust. The immediate pictures are taken and the squeals of delight are done. And now I’m just sitting here, holding a box of books in my lap while... bawling. Hysterically. I’m not even ashamed. This has been almost 6 years in the making. The publication process was the last and hardest step, and many MANY times I didn’t think I’d ever get through it. And now there’s a book in my hands that looks more beautiful than I ever expected. 390 pages that I didn’t think would ever exist. But you did. Hundreds of you thought it was worthy of support. For whatever reason, you chose to stand up and back me on a project I wasn’t sure could succeed, but was willing to give everything for.
I am... in awe. Humbled. Blessed.
And mostly grateful.
Thank you all.
Faoii-Tahani
BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!
I first want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have followed Beyond the Code to this point. I know it has been a long road and you don’t know what it means to me that you all have stuck in there with me. With that being said i have a big announcement to make. WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE!!!
That’s right, after this lengthy journey we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Inkshares has officially put this project into gear and the complete manuscript is in the capable hands of Chersti and Carlisa at WriterTherapy for it’s copy edit as we speak.
If all goes according to Inkshares schedule, the book should be out and about by January 30/18.
During this time i’ll also be getting some great cover art made by the talented people at CoverKitchen. They are the minds behind the colourful cover art to Inkshares very own "Sunshine is forever" by Kyle T Cowan. I’ll keep you updated on the progress and will hopefully have something cool to show you soon.
Thanks again for all of your support thus far. I, for one, can’t wait till the winter.

Hello faithful followers and readers!
I know I haven’t updated you all in quite a while and there are various reason for that, including finishing my first degree, starting a new job and generally being busy. But, I have not stopped writing!
To Live and Die in Avalon has a finished manuscript that has me pretty proud. I have occasionally gone back to tweak it whenever I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat saying "wait...that is a HUGE plot hole! Why did I not see that?!" But, for the most part, it is as done as I can get before being put into the hands of a skilled professional editor. I have also began putting aside notes for the SEQUEL, but it is far too early to even talk about that in great detail. If (and when) Avalon gets a publishing deal, the edits I may have to make with an editor may impact what happens in the sequel. I have written one little scene that I just had to get off my chest and I hope it makes it into the as yet not-fully-formed follow up. I am still considering another campaign, but they require a lot of time and energy that I can’t quite commit to right now. I’m in a very transitional and busy period of life right now and once I get into a steady groove I can perhaps dedicate the proper time needed for a campaign and the other creative endeavors (including my music) that I’ve been wanting to indulge.
The rest of my writing energy has been put toward the epic fantasy novel I have been wanting to make some headway on. The story has changed so significantly, that I will have to update the details on the draft page at some point. You can check out the very early, rough version of an opening chapter at https://www.inkshares.com/books/aurasong-blue-sword
Finally, a shout out to a couple of my colleagues and friends here at Inkshares that need the love:
Andre Brun’s Arcadia is currently in first place in the Horror Contest! Support him here:
https://www.inkshares.com/books/arcadia
Ferd Crotte’s Mission 51 finished in one of the top spots of the last Nerdist Sci-Fi contest!
https://www.inkshares.com/books/mission-51
Also, I can’t possibly name every single author I think you should support here, so just go through my follows and followers and check out their work. Every. Single. One of them. Inkshares is bursting at the seams with talent and they are only going to make it with your support.
Thanks again and if you live in Florida, gather up your books to read and stay safe!

Hello everyone!
Just a quick Launchpad update. There are now five weeks left in the competition and while that seems like a long time, I know it is going to fly by! So now that we’re into the thick of it...
Thank you so much to everyone who has pre-ordered a copy of "The Devil You Don’t." I really appreciate your support. Thanks also to those who have followed the story -- I’m glad you’re with us on this most excellent adventure.
Right now, Devil is sitting in 8th place with 11 orders (the #1 book has 52 orders at this point). But this is a marathon, not a sprint. I’m confident that we’ll increase our pre-order numbers in the coming days.
I’m going to be offering several raffles over the duration of the contest for those who pre-order copies... the first one will happen when we hit 50 pre-orders. One lucky reader will receive a signed copy of my first book, Darkstar Rising. Another lucky reader will win a $25 Amazon gift card.
Other raffles will happen at other pre-order milestones -- details are all listed on the "About" page for "Devil You Don’t." And I’ll share more in future updates. (FYI, if Devil is in the Top Three there will be a special raffle for any Super Reader -- those who order three or more copies!)
We’re off to a good start, but I’ll need everyone’s help to get to the Top Three.
If you haven’t yet, please pre-order a copy. Every single order will matter. You can order right from my Inkshares page: https://www.inkshares.com/books/the-devil-you-don-t
If you’ve already ordered, consider recommending The Devil You Don’t to your friends. One of the most effective way to boost orders is through personal recommendations -- tell your friends about the competition and what we’re trying to accomplish, and share the link with them!
Best,
Susan

Friends, Readers, and Sorcerers All,
A short update this week, but a big one:

Behold, the finished cover (front, back, and flaps)! Special thanks to Mike Rich for the amazing blurb, Mike Corley for the cover design, and Juliane Crump for the author illustrations/back cover layout. I’m really pleased with how this turned out. If I had seen this in a bookstore when I was 10, I would have freaked out. I hope you all are as excited as I am.
Secondly, I have a favor to ask. SORCERY FOR BEGINNERS was nominated as the October pick for a YA Readers Group on Goodreads. The two titles with the most votes will be exposed to nearly 10,000 readers, which would be huge for a debut title like ours. If you could take a moment to go here and vote for SORCERY FOR BEGINNERS, we’d greatly appreciate it!

More updates coming soon. Thanks again for all your support!

Greetings, adventurers!
WHAAAT? It’s not Friday! Though that may be true, I do feel compelled to write to you today because we’ve reached the critical timeframe: there is just one week left to make the preorder goal, as of today. We have just 70 preorders to go, which is a very small number, and also very doable! If you haven’t preordered yet, I really hope you’ll consider doing so shortly.
To try and get that last push for orders, I’ve created a Facebook event. If you would join the event and spread the word, I’d be very appreciative!
Mushroom and Anchovy has also been chosen as the Syndicate Pick for the Quill Brotherhood Syndicate this month, I am very pleased to say! That makes our second Syndicate Pick, and I’m very grateful. Thank you so much for choosing me!
Don’t forget about the contest, which could win you an Amazon gift card! If I hit 250 preorders before the 10th, I’ll also throw in a copy of my first book, Hub City Survival, and maybe an ebook as well!
All right, folks... this is it. Please help me push this book! I’ve been working very hard and want to bring this book to you in its best form. 70 is such a small number. At this point one month ago, the book didn’t even have 70 preorders yet, so I know we can hit this goal!
If there’s anything I can do to convince you to preorder, please let me know. I’d be more than happy to discuss any aspect of this campaign with you one-on-one!
May your adventures be fraught with wonder and just enough peril to keep them interesting,
K. M. Cooper
Dear Readers,
It has been too long! Sylvia and I are just dropping a short note here to assure you that we haven’t forgotten about you. Not only have we not forgotten about you and our immense gratitude for your support, but we are excited to say that we are closer than ever to bringing you the story of our dear friend Otter. The book continues to progress, and we are still hopeful that you will see it in its entirety some time this year.
From the beginning, Sylvia and I knew that completing a collaborative novel alongside her studying and my working would be a serious time commitment and a challenge―and it certainly has been! But what we didn’t realize was how the extra time spent developing this world and these characters would bring them so far into our own world, where we have been pleased to grow close to Otter and Imbria’s other inhabitants. They have truly become like family to us. In fact, even as we work to bring you this story, we have had ample time to wonder about what will come after "The End" for Otter and her friends. And while we need to complete the task at hand before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we are increasingly convinced that Otter’s story will not end with the final chapter of this book.
We ultimately hope you will find A Friend for Otter to be worth the wait. But we also hope that, once you have read it, you will be hungrier for even more of her adventures.
So thank you, thank you, thank you for all the love and support you have given us in this process. And thank you again for bearing with us as we work to bring you the very best tale we can craft. We could not be doing this without you, and we hope you are as happy with the final result as we are with where it is right now.
Sincerely,
Sylvia and Jesse
Hey Everyone!
