Alan Tucker liked a review for The Devil You Know
Is it wrong for me to think that a demon named Pus Drinker is just about the best thing ever?  Combine the morals of, well, a demon with the enforced playlist that makes me think of Iron Man taking over everyone's speakers in the Avengers sure seems the best thing ever to me, that's for sure.  Go Pus Drinker!

    Dear Friends

My editor Penny-Lane and I want to wish you all a Happy Holidays.

Thank you for your support, for your words of encouragement, and for making 2015 one of the best years of my life.

This year I did two big things: I ran the New York City Marathon, and I wrote a novel. It would be easy to pat my back and congratulate myself for such achievements, but the truth is that the blood, sweat and tears that took to achieve those two things were not only mine.

There were so many people cheering for me every time I reached a milestone; there were so many friends and family picking me up when I fell and thought I couldn’t keep going. There was all of you, who took a chance on my book and helped me reach my funding goal.

If I learned anything this year is that hard-work is not all it takes to achieve big dreams; a support system, a network of love is what make dreams come true.

So once again: Thank You All!

It wouldn’t be a proper end of the year update without a quote from the wisest man in the universe:

“There’s a lot of things you need to get across this universe. Warp drive… wormhole refractors… You know the thing you need most of all? You need a hand to hold.”

    The Tenth Doctor, Fear Her.

Alan Tucker liked an update for It's All Fun and Games

      Well hello there, supporters!

A couple updates for you all today:  First, I have replaced the teaser materials on the Inkshares site so you can see the outcome of the developmental and line edits.  The text reads much more cleanly now, and the characters have had all sorts of details about their lives added in, making them much more three dimensional than they were in the original draft.  I'm hugely indebted to my editor Kiele Raymond for these improvements.

The second thing is that we are getting  close to a finalized cover for the book.  The cover designer has been working like a dog, and it's shaping up nicely.  We've gone through two rounds of drafts, with the third due 12/23.  As soon as the cover is approved I'll be sure to let you see it!

If you're on Facebook, don't forget to connect with me here.

And if you're on twitter, look me up at @llabak

      Cheers

        Hello Rebels!,

I know I updated only a short time ago but...

Arty Things! - did you notice our sparkly new cover art? I'm totally doing the snoopy dance right now. Aside from looking extremely cool, it gives everyone a chance to see the quality of Finn's arty brother.  I'm impressed. What do you think?

I also have some very preliminary sketches for the Prize art. I'm not going to share them here, merely tease you with their existence, because they are a bit spoilery for the novel. I can assure you that they are very nice indeed. Maybe once  I've uploaded more chapters...but for that to happen...we need more backers and to get the word out.

Getting the word out - Finn and I are doing an author Interview with local blogger and all round fabulous woman, Melanie Edmonds. Here's one she did previously with my good friend Matthew Hellscream (yes that's actually his real name and of course he writes in the Horror genre). Keep your eye's peeled for the self-conscious mumblings of socially awkward people.  While I'm here, don't forget to connect with Snake here on twitter or Finn and myself here on Google + community for Suffrage.

That's all for now Rebels - Stay free.

          Hello hello!

And welcome to my new followers! Yay! I love you all! =D
So, as promised, since I have ten new followers and "Sweet Torture" has 7 new followers, I will post the next chapter! Yay! I hope everyone enjoys and, of course, any feedback or reviews are always welcome!
Also- now that the holidays are almost over and things in my personal life have calmed down a bit, I am going to get better at updating and promoting! I want to try and do more than just posting chapters, so my best friend is an artist, so I am going to see if she can do some art for me that I can start giving away to my followers!
I will try and think of other giveaways, as well, so stay tuned!
Also also- I know I need to stick to a schedule so that I can get better at this whole -promoting- thing, so I am going to see if I can do an update every Tuesday now. I will even set an alarm for myself! If I can do that, I may just reach my goal!

So thank you, again, everyone, for the follows!! I am very grateful to everyone and cannot reach my goal (dream) without you guys!
          Happy happy holidays!

Stay tuned for the next ST chapter!!

Alan Tucker liked an update for The Inhabitants: An Unremembered Life

This past week was absolutely packed with things both related and unrelated to Inkshares.

Most of it was unrelated, which slowed work on the novel, but was mostly family-related and took top priority. Thankfully, I was able to pump out some reviews for the Review-a-Thon yesterday, but not nearly as many as I wanted.

A huge thanks to Jamison Stone, Yicheng Liu, Jeyna Grace, Joshua Griffith, Thea Tiffany Alger and Kelly Graniel, Stephen Carignan, Steve Soldwedel, and Jason Pomerance for posting reviews of my novel. All of your lovely words made this writer extremely happy!

As I said on the Facebook Review-a-Thon page, I promise to return the favor by writing reviews for all of your novels, but it takes awhile to read all of your wonderful projects, so please be patient with me. I want to give you the most honest and informed review possible. I already bounced back a couple reviews today, so hopefully that will help out your projects a little.

I'd also like to thank Cara Weston for putting the event together. The whole event generated nothing but positive results, and not only did I walk away from it with a page full of reviews, but I also won a copy of Scrivener software to help me organize my writing better! The event also exposed me to other projects that I'm glad I was able to discover through this experience. There's a lot of amazing stuff out there!

In regards to the novel, I am so happy to have bypassed the 30 pre-order mark! Boom! Thank you so much to all my supporters! You are the fuel to my wordsmithing fire.

I do have many words committed to Chapter 4 already as I've been combing through it again with new ideas. I'm constantly being inspired to explore new routes to the same story as I revisit old drafts of these chapters, and finding new ways to approach the universe I've built in my head. It is gratifying for me to deliver improved material to you and get good feedback in return. For Chapter 4 in particular, I decided to take it down a darker path than originally written. You will see when I post it.

Anyhow, I will update all of you with more as it comes along.

Have a good night, and happy dreaming!
