I cook professionally and write Sci-Fantasy on the side. I’d like to reverse that arrangement.

    Hi everyone!

I’m new (well, two weeks "new"), but haven’t really introduced myself in the forums. My name’s Ricky from Maryland (hey, fellow Marylander, A.C. Schulties!) and I write novels in the mystery/suspense/thriller genre.

My novel, "Showtime," is currently funding on Inkshares, and we’re up to 100+ in two weeks, so I’m happy with that so far! It’s been tough (a lot, a lot of hustling), but I think/hope it’s going to work out.

"Showtime" is about a college-age student named Jordan who is unhappy with his life (no job, doesn’t know what he wants to do when he graduates) and, on top of everything, his last remaining grandparent dies. It’s only in clearing out her house that he discovers her TV allows him to travel to the past, which he attempts to use to reverse the televised talent show tragedy that ended her life.

If it sounds like something you might be interested in, I’d love any feedback on the opening chapters (and, of course, pre-orders)!

    Nice to meet you all!

    Ricky
