P.H. James liked an update for The Sleeping Man

Good afternoon Dreamers,

It is time for a non-update update. Thanks to the shares, recommendations, reviews, blog posts, interviews, syndicate pick, and pre-orders, The Sleeping Man has sold over 162 copies! 163 to be specific. This means we’re still above the projection to reach the goal of 750, and we’re definitely going to hit Quill. I’m constantly giving cards to my daughter to give to strangers (I ain’t above it and who is going to refuse her?), matching with people on Tinder and demanding they pre-order, and saying, "Bloody Mary" fives times into every mirror with my tablet in hand so she can pre-order.

It’s working, because we are crushing it. So many people are buying more than one copy as well and I cannot thank you enough for that because the numbers are going crazy. If you haven’t left a review, I would appreciate one. If you haven’t recommended The Sleeping Man, I would appreciate that as well. Lastly, if you haven’t pre-ordered, please pre-order. If you have pre-ordered, please pre-order again, here’s a list of useful things you can do with extra copies:

1. Hold a copy in each hand and read one with each eye to see which one is faster.

2. Create a book fort to protect your dreams.

3. Level a table.

4. Give one to someone you like.

5. Give one to someone you don’t like.

6. Check to see that each printed copy is the exact same and there are no discrepancies between copies.

7. Launch several into varying directions in space to teach aliens the English language.

...And many more!

Thanks again,

Stephen

If you enjoy a good horror comedy then check this out NOW! Definitely one of the funniest books hiding out on Inkshares.
The Decaying Destiny of Bobby the Zombie
What would life be like being dead and the unending pain from being alive once again be like to experience? Trapped in his undead body, Rob can only watch the horrors he creates as "the hunger" controls him, while wishing for his second death.

I know you’re busy. Trust me; I understand. So I won’t take long.

You’ve all been aggressively supportive of me and my work. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better group of readers. So take it from me when I say you’re going to want to take a look at this.

Too Many Controllers is an anthology I’m participating in with 14 other proven Inkshares authors. It’s going to be a fascinating book that brings together the varied imagination of authors so different but all gathered under the umbrella of a similar theme; video games.

"But J.F." you say, out loud, while reading this, which is weird. Seriously, keep it down. People are watching. "But J.F., I don’t care about video games."

Listen; I’ve read the outlines and synopsis of the stories going into this. Sure, there’s some that touch video game culture directly, but others that use the theme as a through line and backbone to tell a story in the genre of the author behind it. That’s the beauty of anthologies; while there is a nice bow that ties everything together, what’s inside the package is a collection, a sampler pack of different writers. You’re going to want to read this. So click on the links. Pre-order your copy. Trust me, having no less than fifteen authors feel like they owe you something? That’s worth the price of admission.

Also, very important; review The Life Engineered on Amazon and don’t forget to follow Arch-Android.

As always; I owe you everything. Don’t abuse that power too much, but y’know; thanks.

Dammit... I said I wouldn’t take long. Sorry?

@Thad Woodman Thought I’d follow up on the data/metrics of the "Sort by" "most relevant" section. I don’t see any real unifying factor for the current top books (drafts) there. There are even some unfunded (failed to fund) drafts above published Inkshares bestsellers which I find very confusing.

I think follower count is a great default metric seeing that this is a crowd funding platform, however, I think raw sales would work well, too.

Whichever you all choose, I just don’t get why the current default and listed as most relevant would reward a failed draft over best sellers and large follower base. Am I missing something?
