By blending the author's voice with that of the protagonist, Orion: When the Galaxy Falls brings the reader into the world by directly addressing them. Also, by informing us the situation is life or death, we need to know what is happening with his situation. Creating this dichotomy between the seriousness of his situation with his story because he feels like sharing, is effective at bringing the world to life.
