Noah Broyles liked an update for The Last Beacon

Hey everyone,

I know it’s been awhile since the last update, so I just wanted to drop by to let you know this project is still very much alive and well. I’m a new dad and we just purchased our first home, so needless to say I’ve been pretty busy. But I’ve been busy writing and editing as well! My manuscript for The Last Beacon currently sits at just over 80K words, and I’m working hard on the very last scenes in the book.

In the coming months I’ll be launching my campaign, and I’ll need all the help I can get from you. I’ve been thrilled by the tremendous amount of interest the book has received so far, but I know full well that doesn’t always translate into sales. Anything you can do now to help me drum up even more interest would be so helpful as we enter the home stretch.

With that being said, I’d like to graciously ask for help in the following ways:

  • Hit the share button on The Last Beacon’s page to tell your Facebook and Twitter followers about this book and why you’re excited for it.
  • Leave a review so you can recommend The Last Beacon to other Inkshares members who have yet to discover it.
  • Spend some time reading the sample chapters and highlight one of your favorite passages for your Inkshares followers to see.

Thank you so much in advance. I can’t wait to share this entire story with you, and in the mean time please do check out some of the other great books currently funding on Inkshares like The Seclusion: Part 2, Young Donald, and Mina Harker.

Until next time,

Matt

Noah Broyles liked an update for The Unforgiven Dead

Hi all! I know you’ve not heard from me for yonks, but that’s because I’ve been busting a gut to rewrite The Unforgiven Dead. And I’m pleased to announce it’s now done! Finished! Over! Well… not quite. In fact, there’s still a way to go - feedback to take on board, tweaks and revisions to be made, and many, many more cappuccinos to imbibe before the book is ready for your delectation. Early 2020 is the likely publication date. I know, seems ages away, but I turn 40 tomorrow and I’m not sure where the last ten years have gone - lost down the side of the sofa, like loose change perhaps? Anyhoo… it won’t be long until The Unforgiven Dead is unleased on the world (cue evil laugh). I’d like to thank everyone who has supported the project thus far. You are literally helping my literary dream become reality. (Try saying that after a few beers! Slainte!)

Great voice. And a great voice takes a good ear. Good strong writing.

A teen-aged black farm boy falls in love with a white witch and lands smack dab in the middle of the grandmother of all witch feuds. In racially tense Southern Illinois during the mid 1960s, that’s the easy part.
