Dear friend,
Hi everyone,
Firstly, apologies for the long time between updates, I’d lost track of how long it had been.
Unfortunately, things have been slow to non-existent for the last month or so when it comes to progress. It’s disappointing, for me and for you guys too, but I’ve been getting over some exhaustion issues and writing has often been the furthest thing from my mind.
That said, it’s April, and Camp NaNoWriMo has just opened up, and I’m forcing myself to participate. So I’ve spent the last week or so getting myself reacquainted with the story and the outlines for the unwritten parts (have I mentioned I really like my ending?...because I do) and I will be forging ahead to get this first draft knocked out.
I’ve also got an extended chunk of Ghosts in the hands of a few readers, so over the next month or so I should be getting some feedback that I can use to start shaping the next drafts.
Updates should be a little more regular while NaNo is going on, so keep an eye out for them.
Until next time.
Here’s something fun for APRIL FOOL’S DAY!

Hello, Spring! And just in time! While tulips are coincidently blooming across the state of NC, so is The Tulip Factory which is now in 17 bookstores across the United States! I can’t wait to meet, greet and sign copies of my book this summer at some of these amazing local indie book shops! Something else kind of cool... Barnes and Noble recently picked up my book as well!!?! (attempting to maintain composure) So you can also preorder/purchase The Tulip Factory from their website. Thank you ALL for helping me get to where I am today. The readers, sharers, shoppers... My friends, family and genuine book lovers... And those not so much into books but who supported me anyway... THANK YOU! xxo
It’s here! I’m pleased to release the official cover of Welcome to Deadland! I hope you all love it and can’t wait for you to be able to hold it in your hands and dive into it’s pages! I’d like to thank David Drummond for his design work, the awesome folks over at Nerdist, Inkshares, and Girl Friday for their help and input reaching this monumental step! This was a great group effort!
Thank you all for your support! Only a few more months to go!
-Zac
Hello, Friends!
A glorious day is upon us, and by glorious day I mean the day I received the first set of cover design proposals.
This is super exciting and, of course, I want your help deciding which direction I should go. Take into consideration that these are design directions, not final designs. The final cover will look quite different from any of these, but before we get there we need to figure out what route we are taking.
