Hello Everyone,
Thank you for your support of my memoir, The Fun Master, in the Inkshares.com publishing contract.
I am writing to let you know that I have decided to withdraw my entry from the contest. Work will go forward on it. I just need to move in a different direction in the near-term.
If you pre-ordered the book, Inkshares.com will refund you. Let me know at jeff.seitzer5120@gmail.com if you are having trouble getting a refund. I will troubleshoot it for you or refund you myself.
Regular updates about the memoir will be posted on my website, jeffreyseitzer.com. You can even sign up for my newsletter on the website, if you are worried about your email inbox being at less than full capacity at all times.
Best wishes,
Jeff Seitzer

Thank you all very much for the support during the Inkshares Contest. Sadly (for me), my book didn’t make the cut, but happily for many others, their book’s did. A huge congratulations to all the winners!
There’s still a chance that Inkshares may be interested in publishing my book. Over this next year, they will choose several more to publish without set pre-orders, so my fingers are still crossed. Through this process, though, I’ve been very lucky to have met a great Facebook Group - the Virtual Travel Writing Group - a group of people who support each others’ writing through kind critiques. To that end, I’ve revised my 1st two chapters on this site and would love to hear what you think of the new versions.
Thank you all again so much for your support as I go through this writing journey.
Howdy! And dare I say it, Happy New Year. I know, 2021 isn’t exactly off to a great start, but I remain committed to the belief that reason and common sense will eventually prevail.
Thank you again for following The Crucible Tree on Inkshares. The contest still has weeks to go and I am hoping I can call upon you to give me a little more push.
As I have said before, a great way to do that is to enlist someone else in your household to come and Follow The Crucible Tree, too. You can also post a Review of my sample chapters.
And new just this week, Inkshares has added a new Nominate feature. This gives you the option to submit a confidential nomination to Inkshares about why you think a book should be chosen for publication. As the author, I never see or even know that you submitted a nomination. It’s like a really short survey that only takes a few minutes.
By bringing attention to The Crucible Tree through this contest, we are bringing more attention to my first book, Bane of All Things, ahead of its launch next summer, to help it be a success. Consider it a virtuous circle.
Let me finish with these powerful words of inspiration from artist and author Neil Gaiman – a commencement speech he gave at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts.
Be well and keep reading!
