I couldn’t have said it better myself, @Robert Batten
@Dr Jack Edward Effron  I am sorry for the inconvenience. As we are a team of only 6 people, Stripe is the most economically feasible way to accept and refund money from readers. Most authors are backed by people in their country, and we need to make sure those funds are secure. Paying authors is easy, but coordinating with readers in countries that are not included in Stripe is much more complicated. If you wanted to set up a bank account in Stripe country, even if you do not live there, we could still work with you.

They currently support authors living in nineteen countries (Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, The United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden or The United States), which isn’t that small. Stripe is used for credit card payments (purchases of books), not necessarily paying authors. I don’t want to answer for Inkshares, but there are different legal requirements when paying royalties to authors in different regions, and Inkshares need to make sure they have their legal arrangements in place. As a small team, it may not be practical, or financially viable, for them to work with all jurisdictions. Or, it may just be a matter of time for them to be able to support it.
