Kendra Namednil liked an update for Blue Water

Here we go.

Blue Water has now reached the front of the line at Inkshares. I first want to thank you all for your patience with the lack of updates since we reached our funding goal two Novembers ago. I know that it can be frustrating not hearing any new information. Believe me, that won’t be a problem anymore. Inkshares has been in contact quite often now that it’s our turn.

Here’s a quick overview of how it’s going to go from here. Currently, the novel has gone through the preliminary copy edit. The changes have been sent to me, and I’ve gone through them all and am sending the book back with notes on the changes. After that, Blue Water’s final manuscript will be sent back to me in the first week of February. The book’s final cover for the eBooks will be done and sent to you all to check out first in March, the full cover in April.

And the big date, the day the book is available to the public: June 5, 2018.

However, you guys are the backers. If it weren’t for each and every one of you (literally, we sold just barely over the goal to make Quill), none of this would be happening. So again, I have to thank you, not just for your patience, but for believing in a first time writer and a book you’ve never read. So, you guys won’t have to wait until the publish date, your copies will be mailed or available for download a few weeks early. The goal is that you guys all check it out first and tell your friends about it before release day. So I may have to call you you again to help spread the word again. We currently have sold 263 copies, and I’ve backed off selling during the information vacuum of 2017. My third thanks to all of you is to buy the book with no information on when you’d receive it. That is a hard sell, and you guys all came though. Now, I’m going to take the next six months and start the selling again. Luckily for you, you already bought it, so I won’t bug you (although it would make a great birthday gift for everyone you know.)

So three thanks to you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We’ll be in touch.

Kendra Namednil liked an update for 31 Days of Narratemes

Hullo! Did you have a happy holiday season, keeping warm and sharing all the stories with all the loved ones?

I know I did ... until that final plane ride home gifted me a nasty bug that took me out of commission until ... well ... yesterday really. I expected time with my family to completely hijack my writing and posting schedule, but I’d hoped my body would just hold on til that indeterminate time when I would have given it the go-ahead to shut down.

    Wishful. Thinking.

Anyhoo, I’m back and I have a plan and a schedule to get this book made, which means it’s officially update time:

    1. I have given myself 100 days to finish this guided journal. That’s 10 days in draft mode and 90 days in campaign mode regardless of how many readers I manage to gather in my little corner of the interwebs.
    2. These 100 days of editing the final draft, sharing it with you, and getting a jump on other things (both related and not) will be done primarily during my Morning Writing which I had decided to stop hiding and instead get even more public with. First, if you’d like to partake in live-stream accountability practice, you can do so here: bit.ly/RoseJermusyk ... Second, I have made this practice into a 2-part Facebook event which you can join in: bit.ly/MorningWriting1 ... and ... bit.ly/MorningWriting2 ... it’s set up as two events because Facebooks won’t currently let you build an event with more than 52 individual dates. Go figure.
    3. If at the end of these 100 days the guided journal has not reached its funding needs, I will self-publish the thing because it’s important to me to get it out there. Apparently, my telling you this negates the all-or-nothing urgency which so many rely on to reach their funding. So here’s the less-than-fun truth: if this project doesn’t reach its funding goal and I self-publish, I will be doing so at a higher price point. Not much higher, but higher.
    4. I will be posting every other day alternating between posting a lesson as a book segment, and posting the related worksheet(s) as part of the reader update. By my calculations, I will have given you the entire journal for free well before the 100 days are up. Assuming that my posting schedule is not further interrupted.

So, as you may recall, I posted the first lesson 00: Initial Situation, now I am attempting to post an image of the related worksheet which may or may not print, but should be visible enough for you to "rip off" in your own notebooks/journals:

Here’s to a new year of better self-care so that the things that get done are the ones that matter most.

    Good journey, my friends,
    Rose

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Last Faoii

      Faoii! I have updates!

I know I said I wasn’t going to call you back to barracks for another month, but then I got 2 exciting missives and I had to share them with you! Here we go!

First, I just got an e-mail and a 5-Star Review from the incredibly talented Jerry Oltion (Click to see his Wikipedia page). Oltion has won the Nebula Award, the Seiun Award, the Endeavor Award, has been nominated for the Hugo Award twice, and he enjoyed our story, Faoii. Look at this review he gave:

Gah! Doesn’t that just make you want to lift your sword and bash a Croeli over the head with it? Let me hear your battlecry, Faoii!

Second, I’ve been asked by AMAfeed to host a Q&A session on January 26. It will run for 48 hours (starting at 6 p.m.) and I’ll be answering the questions live, but you can post anything you want ahead of time if you’re not sure you’re going to be available on those days. I’d be happy to talk about basically anything you can think of-- after all, AMA stands for Ask Me Anything!

Here’s the link for that. I’ll remind you all again before the date, but definitely share that info with any aspiring authors you have out there. A year ago, I was right where they are. Maybe I can help them like so many of you have helped me.

That’s it for now, Faoii. Keep those shields up. I’ll talk to you again soon.

Kendra Namednil liked an update for How to Remember

Readers! So many updates! We are at 90 copies sold - THANK YOU!

First, check out my new cover! My artist is sending high-res files, and then you will see the graphics everywhere. Inkshares folk get a sneak peek :-)

Second, I’ll be in my local paper this week! The article is already online. There is one detail that’s a little off - the reporter said that I was chosen by the publisher to put my book up, but I was talking about the syndicate picks. Which I am SO grateful for, by the way. (Have I mentioned how much I love you guys?)

One last thing - Inkshares has announced that Quill will be going away as of February 28. So we’ve got to make the 250 copies by then. Right now, the campaign is set to end on February 9, but I’ll extend it if I have to. I’ve got more publicity coming out and more networking to do. So we’re going to push this thing. Either I’ll be one of the last Quill authors, or I’ll extend the campaign to 750 and make it happen. My goal is to bring you a great novel, and one way or another, I’m going to do that.

Happy reading - more to come!!

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Lore of the Aos Sí

          Greetings Inkshares Readers!

I wanted to share a few things with you since it has been quite some time since I reached out on this platform.

The first is a brief clarification. Lore of the Aos Si is Nemeton and Nemeton is Lore of the Aos Si. When my campaign ended here on Inkshares I decided to take the story into re-writes. I did this because I knew that plenty of supporters here wanted to read the story. So for those of you who were wondering where Lore of the Aos Si went, it’s on Amazon at the following link!

          http://amzn.to/2CY7jDZ

The second part is that for a limited time the e-Book/Kindle version of the book is only 99 cents! Sweet deal for 626 pages of epic fantasy that my first readers are calling Lord of the Rings meets the Hunger Games! I’d love for you to take a look and give me an honest review on Amazon! After all, it is a lot a cheaper than the $10 - $20 price tag it was here on Inkshares! Don’t forget it is also available in paperback!

If you need more convincing I have four sample chapters on my website for you to take a peek at! As well as an entire host of blog articles featuring other Indie Authors, Self-Publishing tips and tricks, and general writing goodies! I’d love for you to take a look at the content there as well! The best part is if you are crowdfunding a book here on Inkshares, I want to spread the word about it to my near 6,000 sets of eyeballs hitting my site every week! If you want to jump on that train get at my email @ christopher.eichenauer@gmail.com.

Finally, give me a follow on the Twitterverse @ChristLeeEich for updates!

Cause the Sequel is due out April 1st and I want Beta Readers and all sorts of eyes on it before I release it into the wilds of the internet!

I hope you are all doing well!

          Let’s Chat!

          Blessings,

Kendra Namednil liked an update for APEX

Exciting things are happening for APEX! I’ve tweaked the storyboard for my novel slightly to improve the science, and I’m very pleased with this version of the plot. I’ve also rewritten over 36,000 words, and I’m on a roll to finish up the rest of the rewrite soon, hopefully this month.

Be on the lookout for an email tomorrow about my first campaign giveaway to entice new readers to follow me and learn about my book. A group of fellow authors banded together to offer a collector’s set of Neil Gaiman books. The link is http://www.russellnohelty.com/giveaways/neilgaimanj2018/, if you’re anxious to go look RIGHT NOW, but it doesn’t open for entries until midnight Pacific time.

I’ve also been building my social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and there are many exciting blog posts and articles on https://deborahmunroauthor.com, so don’t be shy. Go take a look and tell me what you think. There’s a means to leave comments that will be posted on the page, too.

If you’re a Twitter user, you can follow me to get a second chance to win the Neil Gaiman books, too :).

Happy New Year, and I look forward to hearing one of you were the lucky winners of this fabulous set of Neil Gaiman books!

            Cheers, Debbie

Hi, everyone! We are so close to 100 copies sold! Please share the link with everyone you know :-) And if you are a member of a syndicate that hasn’t already picked the book, let them know I’m looking for more readers. Actually, I’ve been thinking of starting one myself - what do you all think of a Librarian Syndicate?

I’ve got some art news - in addition to the new cover, which will be soooo much better than my lame efforts with Canva, I’ve commissioned two portraits of Miranda and Ben. Everyone who supports me at the Super Reader level will receive a print.

We may have to extend the campaign - I’m not sure if we’re going to make it to 250 by February 9 - but I’m committed to doing so. My ultimate goal is to bring you a book you will love, and I know we can make it happen together.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I’m off to a weekend of laundry, quiet time with the kids, and writing my new book... I need to have something for you to read next!

Kendra Namednil liked an update for Christmas at the ER

                .

To everyone reading and or just discovering Christmas at the ER....

Soon I will be posting my very own commercial trailer for the book that is now currently in the editing process. As life is life and obstacles are constantly put in the way, we continue to push forward with this project. Also to inform my readers there is in the works a short film involving the plot-line to the book as well as a small comic book pressed alongside. For those who preorder the book, both the film and the comic will be sent as a "thank you" gift once produced!

Throughout this process I have had a ton of fun and cannot wait to share it with the world as we push closer and closer to the outreach goal. I thank every one of my followers and hope to gain more, with more and more feedback, to help this move along. Thank you for all your support!

Kendra Namednil liked an update for Arch-Android

                  Happy New Year my friends!

Well, 2017 won’t be accused of being uneventful. I think it’s safe to say that it will go down as a year with many bitter memories for some. I lucked out however and, form me, 2017 turned out to be an awesome year. I owe it all to readers and book lovers exactly like you. My horror novel, A God in the Shed got published sold over 5300 copies and we’re now staring down the barrel of the sequel going into production and all of it is because someone like you took a chance.

So I"m asking the same thing again: will you trust me to bring you another great story?

Arch-Android is still funding on Inkshares. It’s an indirect sequel to The Life Engineered titled Arch-Android. It’s the story of our robot descendants and how they’ve lived without human interference for centuries, but now, as signs of humanity making a comeback start to appear, they have to decide how best to prepare sharing the galaxy with us once again. If you haven’t yet, check out the sample chapter and please, consider pre-ordering a copy (or more!). There are some familiar names and places in Arch-Android and if you enjoyed The Life Engineered, you’ll love this book too.

Again, thank you so much for your continued support. Great things are coming in 2018 and I’m looking forward to sharing that journey with you.

                   JF

Kendra Namednil liked an update for The Devil You Don’t

                    1/4/18

                    Greetings, everyone!

It has been quite the day here. 12"+ of snow, howling winds, and tomorrow will bring sub-zero temps. Once again, I am wondering if I would be content running a t-shirt hut in Aruba (while still writing, of course!).

But, I know you’ve been waiting for the raffle results now that "Devil" has hit the magic 250 orders. So without further ado, congrats to the following winners:

                    • Vicki Hamilton: $50 Amazon gift card
                    • Catherine Correia: Signed copy of "Darkstar Rising"
                    • Michael Welch: Signed copy of "Darkstar Rising"
I’ll get those awards out to you as soon as possible but with the cold it might be a day or two before I can get to the Post Office! :-)

As for "Devil You Don’t", I haven’t heard from Inkshares yet about turning in the MS, but I’m sure like most of us, they’re getting refocused after the holiday. I’ll update you all again soon on what next steps are.

Have a great evening -- and stay warm!!!

                    Best,
                    Susan
