I’m convinced that sending people to Mars is so expensive that if you go once and bring the people back and then go again and bring the people back, we’re eventually going to run out of money.
But what if we send people the first time and they don’t come back?
What if they stay there?

Chapter 1 (formerly the artist known as Chapter 2) has finally arrived. I changed my first post from Chapter 1 to a prologue, which I am also sending out. I did some minor rewrites in the prologue but there is still a lot of work to be done and I plan on full edits by the end of next week. Please feel free to message me any thoughts or constructive feedback you might have. I welcome any critiques that can strengthen the work. I would also like to thank all those following this very rough draft and I look forward to corresponding with any new followers you might be able to point in the direction of this strange little story. Happy reading!
