Jeremy R. Strong commented on H.R.
I love the idea that mankind becomes a cosmic nuisance and an alien race seeks to follow the proper protocols for lodging complaints! I hope to read some drafted material soon!

I am definitely interested in the slats and how they function/are divided. I love fiction that tackles classism and segregation and wonder in what ways do you see your novel addressing questions like this? Also, I wonder about SeeSaw - it seems obvious that you may have named the character this for the symbolic implications (scales of justice, etc) but I was wondering if you wanted to comment on that in some way within chapter one to guide first time readers a bit? Thanks for sharing this, move over Stephen King with your paltry Children of the Corn...We now have a whole planet!

I have not read  Rise yet, so I am out of the loop. But I read this anyway, because I thought you might want to know what a first impression without the context of the previous book might be like! I did feel a bit lost regarding characters that obviously have major backstory in the first book, but that said, I was compelled enough to read the whole chapter and found myself carried along by the story. I want to know all about the Dragon Queen now, that is for certain, and I also am really curious as to why she deserves such loathing and to have people out to murder her, so this worked well even for a new reader. I will have to put Rise on my list! - Jeremy

I held my breath, wondering what he knew. My fingers wrapped tight around the piece of wood in my hand."When she does, I will take it from her." His face loomed large on the screen. "And when I do, everything will change."His voice fell so quiet I barely heard what he said next."And then I will kill her."
