James Rasile liked an update for The Madness of Mr. Butler

My wonderful readers and followers...the day is upon us! The final day of the contest!

And, here’s the funny part...despite being a writer, I’ve read this entire time that the contest ends at midnight, whereas the fine print states that it ends at 12pm PST, or...3pm this afternoon for those of us on the east coast...which means...

LESS THAN FOUR HOURS LEFT IN THIS CONTEST!!!

This contest has been a marathon of love and labor...blood, sweat, and tears...

Thank you all for your support and love and, well, EVERYTHING throughout this contest. I still can’t believe that’s the finish line I see on the horizon.

I wish everyone in the contest the very best, no matter the outcome. This cup runneth over with outstanding talent. Let us all support each other. We can all get published.

With such little time left in this contest, I’m certain that everyone’s efforts to place will be ramped up appropriately...as should mine. It’s only appropriate, as I love my book and want the absolute best for it.

Nothing is guaranteed until 3pm EST. Until then, if you haven’t ordered a copy of Mr. Butler, please consider doing so now. If you have, please take these next couple of hours to get just one other person interested enough to pre-order.

Thank you all for your unwavering support. I really can’t believe it’s all coming to a close today.

Take care, everybody.

Have a wonderful day.

-Michael

Well hello there my fellow sentients!

I won’t take too much of your time today. I just want to hit on three things very quickly. So let’s be efficient and get started!

    1. Thank you so much for your support. I know! I know! I keep saying it, but you have to look at events from my perspective; one day I have a self published book and a year later I have a professionally edited, distributed and marketed piece of literature to call my own. I owe that to you and I never want to take that for granted.

    2. Alright, now that we’re done with the gushing; I still need your help. Have you read The Life Engineered yet? Awesome. Did you like it? Super-awesome. Do me a favour would you? Go review it on Amazon and/or Goodreads. If I’m learning anything is that these reviews are more important that almost anything else and are the key to getting books in front of more readers. The Life Engineered has 65 reviews as of this writing. At 100 it will start popping up in newsletters and suggested books for readers. That is a huge deal.

    3. Did you know I have another book funding on Inkshares? It’s titled A God in the Shed and is a completely different style (Fantasy/Horror) but I’ve been told it’s very promising. I’m aiming to get 750 pre-orders for it and with a little over a month left in my campaign I still need 245 orders. Being able to fund this book is part of the process to being able to campaign for more books in the world of The Life Engineered. I’d be eternally grateful (see point 1) if you could take a look at it and pre-order a copy and perhaps even share with friends.

That’s it! That’s all I had to say this time around. Thanks, review The Life Engineered, pre-order A God in the Shed.

    Thanks for your time,

    JF

James Rasile liked a review for Lucky
Human stories in a science-fiction world. Webster's writing style is refreshing, and even though I have no clue what the hell is going on by the end of the fifth chapter, she has my interest and attention.

First off, thank you for following my project. I’ve been working on this book for over a year and I’m very close to (gulp) starting my pre-order campaign. One of the difficulties with this novel is that I’ve always imagined it being laid out as a "For Dummies" style help guide, with lots of sidebar facts and extra bits of info. Executing this in a basic Word document has been a bit of a ... what’s worse than a nightmare? An every-time-mare? Because that’s what dealing with formatting has been.

Anyway. For the purposes of the Inkshares site, I’ve placed the sidebar info in text boxes, roughly where they would appear. One thing I’d like to ask, O generous and kind supporter -- do you think the whole idea of boxes is too distracting? Should I just leave it as a regular old novel? Or should I stick with the help guide format? Any advice would be much appreciated, and I look forward to checking out your work as well! Thanks again --

            Dear Readers,

By my count (using my fingers...I’m a writer, not a mathematician), we have SIXTEEN HOURS left in the Nerdist Space Opera contest. That’s 16 hours to get the 70 more unique readers that we need to win the contest. If you’re following this novel, but haven’t purchased a copy yet (and you know who you are), do so now so your contribution will count towards the contest!

Also, some exciting news: Lucky was chosen by the Break the Bechdel with Strong Female Characters Syndicate to be their March nomination. This nomination came in late last night and I only saw the email this morning, but I feel truly honored as an author to have my work chosen by this Syndicate for support.

That’s all for now (and I need to refill my coffee mug too). I’ll be back later this afternoon/evening with an update and maybe even a plan for the future!

Thanks to all of you for your support and your faith in this novel.

            - Webster
