Tony Valdez liked an update for Deus Hex Machina

Happy Monday Hexers!

I have lots of news, so I'll get right to it:

First of all, my new book trailer for Deus Hex Machina is up on the funding page, so make sure you check it out.  To go along with it I have officially launched DeusHexMachina.com, which was created by my talented husband.

Thirdly, I am incredibly excited to tell you I got the chance to interview inventor and technology guru Timble Ada. He's one of the fathers of something called "perceptual computing," which seems like it might someday lead to something like the Grid in DHM. Click on over to my blog to check it out!

We're very close to our next giveaway mark -- 60 orders, so if you know anyone who would enjoy a rolicking cyberpunk adventure, be sure to send them our way!

Have a wonderful Monday and a great week!

    Good Monday readers

I hope your holidays were good, regardless of what and how  you celebrate. Even if you don't I hope you enjoyed the day(s) off. I did not do much writing during the last few days as it was my little hatchling's second Xmas. I recharged and an am now back in the saddle as they say.

As usual we have a huge deficit to overcome to get published and win the contest. Like the SR Naval  forces in The Garden of Oroborous, we never back down from a fight. We expect to win! So spread the word about The Garden of Oroborous to your friends and family and other fans of military science fiction. Chapter Three will be up soon!

Tony Valdez liked an update for Blood Dawn

      Blood Dawn is DONE!

Despite that 4 months of intensive revision lay ahead before I submit to Inkshares, reaching those words, "THE END" (as you'll see if you visit my Instagram here) felt like one of the most significant milestones in what has been 67 weeks of steady commitment to producing a solid draft.

I'm feeling immense accomplishment today!  By finishing Blood Dawn, I have finally translated the entirety of this story from my mind to actual words that other people can read -- and it holds together well and tells a riveting tale.  And by using the editorial coaching program, Author Accelerator, I've been able to absolutely nail my first draft, knowing that the amount of revision required will be completely doable in the four month time frame I've allotted myself. (Check out my timeline if you're curious how that process looks.)

I'm excited now to update my Blood Dawn page to read, "The draft is complete." I'm excited to share this book with readers telling them not only that this book will be published but that the draft is done and it all worked out and I'm now busy making it shine.

If you haven't purchased your copy of Blood Dawn yet, now is the perfect time to do so.

Click here to visit Blood Dawn's page on Inkshares.

Thank you so much for your support!

Tony Valdez liked an update for The Investigations of the Para-Usual

Pre-order a copy of The Investigations of the Para-Usual (The IPU) and I will donate 10% of book sale profits to Green Energy research.

An honourable pledge, you might think. Took you until the last six days of funding to make the offer. Smacks of desperation to earn some pre-sales.

That's a bit harsh, though, isn’t it? This started as self-aggrandisement and now I’m feeling like I’m on self-trial. Why the pledge to Green Research, anyway? The IPU was written as an entertainment novel, but the politics of Climate Change is very much at the heart of it. The ways politicians, big business, the media and academics block the paths to pursuing alternative, renewable energy. Just a few days after signing up to CO2 emission reductions at the Paris Summit, the UK Government was issuing licences for fracking under National Parks. It’s not enough to trust Governments to act. Perhaps people need to face up to investing directly?

Tony Valdez liked an update for The Children of the Forest

Hello all of you lovely readers and followers out there! I hope everyone's holidays have been as enjoyable as mine, and now that I've cleared the copious banquets of never-ending food and drink, I've returned to oversee work on The Children of the Forest as we enter the final weeks of the 2nd Sword & Laser contest!

Right now, the book is sitting on 3rd place, but with so much time left, that could easily change! Local fundraising has been going strong, but I've unfortunately not extended the same oversight to my followers online and elsewhere. I'd like to remind everyone who has yet to pre-order a copy of the story that the book is still part of my "Amazon Gift-Card Raffle" which entitles one lucky winner to a $250.00 gift card to Amazon, with the drawing to be held on the 15th of January. Every purchase of one or more copies of my book enters you for a chance to win this wonderful prize!

My current goal for the book is to clear 100 unique sales before the end of the contest. I think is more than doable, but it requires everyone who is the following the book, but has yet to purchase a copy, to pre-order now! I've recently updated the page with several new chapters, edits, and descriptions, so go over and give the page and the samples a look, and lend me your support so we can guarantee The Children of the Forest a publishing deal!

Finally, in the next week I will be featured on television as a guest for the incredible show, "Off Beat Cinema!"   http://www.offbeatcinema.tv

The interview will be posted on the book page following its airing, and hopefully everyone will enjoy getting to hear/see me discuss some aspects of the contest, writing in general, and the book!

I hope everyone has a great and safe time celebrating the New Year!

            Greetings wonderful people,

I have just posted a new shiny book trailer made up by Yicheng Liu. Take a look and see what you think. I personally am really impressed by the results and I hope you are too.

Also we have reached to 35 sold goal. I will be posting chapter 12 very soon and a re-polished chapter 1 hopefully soon after that (still working on it)

I hope everyone's had a jolly happy Christmas and a good New Years to come. If you've liked what you've seen so far don't forget to pre-order. If you already have thank you so much for your continuing support.

Tony Valdez liked an update for Exile, Magus

A day late with this one thanks to the holidays, but it was a break I needed.  I hope the rest of you have also had a holiday which you enjoyed.

We still haven't hit the threshold for Chapter 6 section 1 to be uploaded, so instead I've uploaded the final section of Chapter 1 for book 2, Exile, Hunted.  Go ahead and click the link to read that if you want, though I will warn you that there are major spoilers now that the full chapter has been posted.

I'm going to still try to get another update typed today recommending some other great books.  In the meantime if you haven't ordered Exile, Magus you should.  Only 26 days left now.

As always, thanks for your time and support, keep reading, and enjoy yourselves.
