@Chad Legge Thank you very much, I’m hoping to have more content up soon (I can’t copy and paste on the computer I use right now so getting a chapter up is very time consuming) hopefully it will live up to the beginning!
@Luke Fellner I’d probably add a little more if I were you. I’d like to see a little more of the characters as I don’t feel I have a great hold on their personalities as of now.
I’ve been reading my story and editing, so far it’s great, I was nervous when I started reading it but am happy to say I’m proud of The Burned. I’d be happy to post the next few chapters if anyone is interested, just comment or DM me.
I used to work in a high end department store and I know customers are always skeptical about products from the moment they enter a store. So I view Inkshares as a store. I know how difficult it was to perusade people to buy the clothing they obviously like and an unpublished book is much harder to sell than clothing which is why I said leave every avenue open so a potential supporter can reach you. If you were operating a book fair booth you wouldn’t leave your booth with no way other than a phone call for a potential buyer to reach you, well the same applies here. Your profile page is your book booth. I’m not saying anyone will stop by but shall they--be ready.
Lisa, thank you for your support and purchases. I don’t mind meeting fans, an unknown author have to meet and greet all their potential fans to create more fans. (Unless... the person’s behavior is threatening. Then it is wise not to meet with them.) Still, the best advertisement is the word of mouth. That’s how I was pointed in the direction of the lady who used to write for Kirkus reviews. Most of the public I’ve encountered, if I ask them something with respect and kindness they will return it. Even if they don’t buy a book, I would like to think I left a favorable impression on them.

I looked up what trolling meant. No, I was not trolling anyone here or anywhere else. I only offer information to help. I have far too much to do to worry about what someone else is doing. Straight forwardness is just my style not provocativeness. It doesn’t do this in the mail section it only does it on the forum and when I load up my work. Sometime it comes up totally different from what I’ve written or cut off in the middle or end of a sentence. To be honest it has gotten so bad that I had started to wondered was someone deliberately trying to drive me away. I’m not perfect but I know what I wrote. But you are right I do need to tell Inkshares about this. I thought perhaps it was malfunction in my computer. I had it cleaned and it still does this. It only does it here on Inkshares, no where on the Internet.
Thank you for taking the time to let me know they were coming up blank for I often see nothing on my end so I’ve no idea whether they posted or not.
@Luke Fellner - Wonderful! I’ll take any advice and tips I can get :)Thank you.
