J. Danielle Dorn liked an update for Fury From Hell

Good Morning, Good Day and how the heck are ya!?!  It has been a whirlwind two weeks since I attended I-CON32, a scifi/anime/cosplay convention in Brentwood, NY.  I met awesome people!  Many of them would make McGyver look like he had 3 thumbs -- why?  Because they made their own costumes!!  One gentleman even BUILT a rolling chair with two turrets that emitted smoke!  Yes!!  It’s true.

I will put up a post with all of the pics for you to join in the fun vicariously.  Some of you may have seen them on my Twitter timeline already as I was live tweeting! :-)  Thanks for all of the shout-outs Jane-Holly!

But the really big news is through Cynthya BrianKate, a woman I met at the con, I will be a guest on the radio show, IN GOTH WE TRUST tonight! Thursday, March 30th at 10:30 pm Eastern.  You can listen in on the web:  http://wioxradio.org/index.html!

The hosts of the show tonight will be Chelsea Goodwin and Rusty.  We will speak on many topics including the horror genre, my book Fury From Hell (of course!).  And, since this show loves all things GOTH, the conversation may venture off into topics of the occult and spirituality -- all perfectly in line with my book which has Wiccans, demons, furies and the occasional divination reading...

I will be live tweeting during the show so if you have any questions feel free to tweet them to me on: @NoteBkBlogairy.  Use the hashtag #InGothWT so everyone can see your tweets!

See you all at 10:30 pm EDT tonight!!

    J. Danielle Dorn liked an update for The Punch Escrow

Yesterday Inkshares finished the final layout of The Punch Escrow and sent it off for galley printing (that’s book biz talk for advance reader copies). The book’s gotten some AMAZING blurbs from some AMAZING people. I wanted to share my favorites with you:

"An alt-futuristic hard-science thriller with twists and turns you’ll never see coming. I couldn’t put it down." - Felicia Day, author of the bestselling You’re Never Weird On The Internet (Almost), Geek & Sundry founder, and soon to be Kinga Forrester in Mystery Science Theatre 3000!

"This book angered me to my core, because it’s based on an idea that should have occurred to me. The fact that Tal executed it so well, and made such a page-turner out of it, just adds insult to injury." - Scott Meyer, author of the Magic 2.0 series

"The Punch Escrow will have you rooting for its plucky, sarcastic hero as he bounces between religious fanatics, secret agents, corporate hacks and megalomaniacs in a quest to get his life back." - Robert Kroese, author of the Mercury Falls series, Starship Grifters series

    More news soon!

      J. Danielle Dorn liked the forum thread, Quill vs. Self-Publication
The lovely Avalon e-mailed me to give me a better understanding of the differences between Quill and Self-Publication, so I wanted to share her comments here. This way, if there’s anyone else out there who’s not sure what to do, hopefully they’ll see the benefits of working with Inkshares.

"I saw your forum question about self-publishing versus Quill, and I wanted to help answer some of those questions. Self-publishing would probably ensure a faster timeline, and you’d have more control over the process. However, the strongest benefits of Quill, aside from working with a copy editor, proofreader, and interior designer from our side, is that a) your book will have more visibility from rights buyers (foreign, tv, audiobook, etc.), and b) your book will be listed in our catalogue for distribution, and it’s very likely that accounts like Barnes & Noble would stock copies. If those sell well, they’d re-up."

So there you go, Inksharers! I hope that assuages any fears and clears up any concerns! Best of luck in your campaigns.
