Hey all,
I got some exciting news over the weekend: Bill Oakley, former writer and showrunner for THE SIMPSONS and a personal hero of mine endorsed IN BETA.
"A hilarious concept from a very funny and talented guy--I cannot wait to see it!"
This is the genius who wrote some of my favorite Simpsons episodes, including "Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy", "Bart vs. Australia" and "Who Shot Mr. Burns". It’s a huge shot in the arm for the novel, and for my campaign.
Thank you Bill, and thank you to everyone who’s ordered a copy thus far!

It’s been a little over a day since the massacre in Orlando and I still can’t stop crying. I’m devastated and furious. I didn’t know anyone in the Orlando LGBT scene personally, but make no mistake, they were all my brothers, sisters, siblings.
Here’s what you can do today to help.
I will need some time, today, tomorrow - I don’t know how long it will take for the shock to settle. This is why I write. This is why our voices need to be heard, why we need to be seen as more than just "those gay people". Because a man so disgusted by two men kissing will walk into our sanctuaries and gun us down.
If anyone needs to talk, I’ll be working today, pretending everything is fine, because I’m not out at work - but I’ll check back when I can and should be available for anyone who needs it.
Hello all!
It’s been a week since my last update so I have some new goodies for you! Two new excerpts are up for Human Resources — admittedly one is very short and included below, but the other is a full scene (The Farm).
I hope you are all continuing to enjoy the draft excerpts I have been posting. I’m always keen to receive your feedback both positive and (constructively) negative, so highlight and comment away on Inkshares! (In fact, I encourage you to go wild and add a recommendation or review.)
Enjoy your weekend (especially those lucky enough to get a long weekend for The Queen’s Birthday) — I suggest with a good read :)
Robert

Godric,
A Board Director will be visiting the company in one month’s time to conduct an audit. I am aware that this may be an imposition on some of our departments, being six months ahead of the regular schedule, but I expect all of our people to be prepared and treat the inspections appropriately.
The Director will be accompanied by a contingent of thirty-five rather than the usual ten. Make sure you have appropriate arrangements in place for such a large contingent.
Sincerely,
W. Ashton
