Urban Fantasy is a pretty big genre, and it’s my main one. I’ve backed most of the Urban Fantasy authors that have sent me pitches on here. It’s strictly a modern day setting with a fantasy twist.
No worries! I suppose the stricter definition focuses more on contemporary setting (have a look at Goodreads’ definition below), but for the purposes of the syndicate my thought would be to cast bit of a wider net and include historical settings too.
"Urban fantasy is a subset of contemporary fantasy, consisting of novels and stories with supernatural and/or magical elements set in contemporary, real-world, urban settings--as opposed to ’traditional’ fantasy set in imaginary locations. Many urban fantasy novels are told via a first-person narrative, and feature supernatural beings such as vampires, shapeshifters, fairies, witches, sorcerers, and demons. Urban fantasy stories tend to have a high amount of suspense and action, and sometimes include mystery, romance, humor and/or horror in the plotline."

@Chad Legge I’m always peeking in at other people’s stories and try to leave some sort of comment on them. Thank you very much for the in-put. I am still editing so I’ll work on fixing the conversation between the two.
I looked angrily at Ross for saying my name, “So, how many bullets do you have in your pistol ‘Hunter’?” He laughed a little, “At least two Jay, I’ll assume you’ve got at least one” “That’s right Hunter”
@Chad Legge I struggle with that sometimes, do you have any methods that could help with that?
But I’m not in the charity business, unless you call putting people out of their misery charity.
